  1. Hello! I am planning on moving away from Florida in early February, but I am hoping to get an exam date before it's time to move. I still have 34 days before the 90 days are up for the background check to finish processing. For people who have taken the Prometric exam: How long after the 90 days (for background check) were you given an exam date? Do they give you a week or two weeks before the exam? Can you choose to take it sooner?
  2. I decided to complete a CNA license in Florida before I move to Washington, so I can atleast find part time work and have a place to live. Haha! =).
  3. Exactly! We live within our means, and it makes it a bit difficult taking into consideration the expenses of getting established in modern society. Thanks everyone for the information! I found out that I am still eligible for FAFSA, so hopefully that can help me complete my RN in Washington state. Thank you =).
  4. I am a 23 year old aspiring nurse. I completed 2 years of pre-requisites in Florida, paid for by FAFSA, as a dependent of my parents (0 EFC), but I've lost all of their support. I am moving to Seattle (capitol hill area) soon to start a new life, and I want to know if there are any hospital programs that pay for a Student's education in exchange for work. I am looking for financial assistance, grants, or interest-free loans (religious reasons). If any fellow nurses have any information please respond. Thank you so much!
  5. Congratulations! I believed in you all.
  6. Look at southeastern college in Tampa area. They seem to be really good. http://www.sec.edu/
  7. I received my acceptance letter today.
  8. If I remember correctly there was someone with a 3.4~5 GPA who got accepted as an alternate.
  9. It'd be nice, but I don't think we will get the letters until next month.
  10. Wow! I hope we will make it together in that group of 26. 26 seems like such a small number!
  11. If you go to the health science counselor at HCC in the tech building she will give you a paper that lists all of the classes you need for your BSN at USF. It really clarifies things. Thank you for the information :)
  12. I hope to transfer to USF. I am currently taking statistics, developmental psychology, and a humanities for the pre-requisites. Hopefully I am saving myself a semester if everything goes well.
  13. Welcome :). We should have our letters soon as this current term ends.
