I agree! Im also new to pediatric psych nursing. The population of children I work with are abused, traumatized and neglected. So far, I enjoy it and learn so much from it. Its very rewarding and challenging at the same time.

Why does nursing jobs have to be so competitive?

What do say to a nurse manager after they have decided not to hire you? How do you network from there?

Im a new grad that graduated in may and have been actively looking for a job since August when I passed my boards and still have to land my first job. Im getting really discouraged with the process. Ive been on several interviews for hospitals and nsg homes but no job offer! What do I need to be doing different and what does these employers want???? Ive done everything possible!!

I would consider the relocation to va for job its a good location

Hey everyone I graduated in May and passed my boards in August. I've been looking for a job since August and haven't seriously gotten any offers I've only had one interview and that didn't go so well. I've been looking in states like New York North Carolina and Maryland which is where I would like to relocate. I have updated and change my resumes and cover letters several times still nothing. I've tried calling HR but I just get a dead end. I'm considering going to any one of the locations and walking into the facilities and just talking to whomever but I'm not sure what to say or how to do that approach. I've applied to numerous hospitals LTC SNFs etc and nothing. Any suggestions?
