Thank you! The parking at the medical campus is horrible. I was late 20 mins. Now I have to leave my house at 6am instead of 6:30 to get to class on time and find good parking. Besides that I had a great first day. My professor (Maury Antolin) seems like he's a good professor.

My appeal was denied too. I was hoping for the best buy prepared for the worst. I'll just have to pick up a few shifts here and there at work. I got a short term loan and applied for scholarship.

Has anyone in the bridge program purchased their books yet? If so can you please tell me what books I would need. I went to the online bookstore for Miami Dade and for one class the books came out to almost $500 and they were used. I just don't think we'll need all of those books but I can't figure out which ones we may actually need. I wonder if the professors could send out a syllabus like a month before class starts...so I guess that would be now huh:sorry:

The book was a waste of money. I refuse to let my $35 go to waste. I'm going to read at least half of the book. Oh my goodness that JMH woman was the WORST. 67 slide show pages and she read each page......... Majority of the stuff she read didn't have anything to do with nursing students.

Are there ny assignments from the book for the sos boot camp? Are we just supposed to do the tutorials and the exam after each?

i did. I think everyone got the same exam. For the fish/gills i picked lungs and for the chicken/yolk i picked the yolk is there to feed the embryo.

I WILL.....She said it takes 4-6 weeks so I should find out either the first or second week of August.

So most people get their financial aid reinstated at the medical campus?

I had to write a letter as well for reinstatement of financial aid. I was denied the first time at the Kendall campus back in 2012. I paid out of pocket for my science pre-reqs since I already had the other courses before I switched my major to nursing. I submitted my letter last week and I included a letter from my previous employer as well as a letter of recommendation from a former professor. I'm praying that it gets approved. If not it looks like I'll have pay for the entire program on my own.

The bridge program is only three semesters long.

No, she gave us a link to check it within 72hours or so. I think they're testing out the NLN or something like it to implement it for other students wanting to get into the program. When I asked her why we were being tested she said ohhh to see what your strengths and weakness are so that we can get you help etc..... it just doesn't make any sense. Things aren't adding up.

Looks like the bridge option has the least amount of stress. I only have 3 classes this semester. nur1002, nur1002L and Nur1142.

For the Bridge option..... so far our clinical are 6hr two days. The bridge online is 12hrs once a week.

where are you going to get the mdc logo placed on the scrubs?
