Thanks tyang! That's really good advice. Wow, 20-day notice is pretty short! It's usually 60-days where I'm from. I did create a NetID and will look into that info. Do you know if we can use that NetID to do our compliance items now?

I'm starting to look into potential places to live near the University, which is a little challenging because I live in Minnesota and cannot actually drive around and look. It might be a little early to find a place with a June 1st move-in, but I figured better to start looking earlier, just in case. We have a small dog and a cat and I'm having a hard time finding places that accept pets. Is this common out there? I looked at the website for Radford Court apartments (student housing), which allows pets and I've seen mixed reviews. Can anyone shed light on this? I'm willing to pay a little more for a better location and my pets of course, but I am a student after all! Any advice is much appreciated!

Thanks for your response! This is all really good advice. I'm through the first 2 modules so far and it's going well, but it's early still. I've been saving my quizzes and trying to keep my notes very organized. I'm a little confused about what all you can use during the final. Definitely book and written notes and notes saved online, but obviously not the internet, right? Did you use ChemBioDraw and ChemSketch during the test? Sorry to hear you didn't do as well on the final as the quizzes. That's kind of the general opinion I've seen out there about this class.

Thanks for all the great advice macrina and abalone! That will definitely come in handy when looking for a place. I would like to live as close as possible to school (hopefully within walking/biking distance) but the tips about the bus line are great! It's so exciting to "meet" other people that will be in the program :) So, I've read that we don't find out about our bost-bacc app acceptance to UW until May or June. Does that make it challenging to get our compliance things done in time?

I am just beginning the course at UNE now. Unfortunately, I just finished taking Organic Chemistry at the University of Minnesota and got a B-. I struggled with one of my tests, but greatly improved my scores after working with a tutor. I was accepted into a program, but need a B to go. So now, I'm starting again. The ability to work through the course at your own pace is appealing because I feel like I understand the material well right now. However, the information online about this course makes me nervous. I like all your advice and will certainly include all those things in my preparing/studying. rjt027, would you mind posting again after you take the final on how well prepared you felt for it? It's wonderful to hear from someone in the program and such a nice offer to answer questions! I'm really excited to start and I feel like it's just a waiting game now. Is there anything useful that I can do to help prepare myself in the meantime? I was also wondering where most people live in Seattle? I currently live in Minnesota and will be looking to move out there with my boyfriend and our dog at the beginning of June (or maybe sooner). I assume it's beneficial to live close to the school. I've never been to Seattle so I have no information on the area! Thanks for your help!
