Wanted to give this thread a bump. Any current or previous students from WA here? How was your clinical experience? Any luck finding preceptors? Any info is helpful

Lower Columbia College LPN2RN Fall2013
That sounds tough with no teacher involvement. Do you get any feedback on your assignments? How do course exams work?

California RN license after Indiana State University lvn to bsn
I am confused about this myself. I have spoken to 2 other CA students that are now in the program. I am going to call them again tomorrow and see what they tell me and I'll report back what I find out

Need RN credits transfer help so badly to a college that will accept them.
I believe that Excelsior College looks at cases like yours on a case by case basis in regards to thier RN program. As for testing for your lpn license it may be possible here in CA. CA has an option to test for your lvn licensure based on equivalent education. They do require a 54 hour pharmacology course, however there are many options to complete this including several stand alone online courses with open enrollment. Good luck

Want to go into nursing, but seriously off track, help?
It seems you may need to take a step back and determine what it is that you want and what are your priorities. While I see that you want to finish your BA in History you do not say how that degree will benefit your future. If you want to pursue and undergraduate nursing program then go for it. If that means your BA in History comes second to your pursuit of a career in nursing only you know which is more important. Set a goal and then create a path to it. As you have seen it is not practical to pursue History and Nursing equally. One has to take priority, which one only you can decide.

I called them up and was told that they are not currently accepting new California applicants. They are currently only putting through their current California students

So the option exists for online students to complete clinicals in the Terra Haute area? I used to work in Indianapolis and sometimes had to go to Terra Haute in my EMT days. It would be great to just take a trip out there to do clinicals. So long as there won't be any license issues in California down the road?

California RN license after Indiana State University lvn to bsn
While I have seen that the ISU lvn to bsn is not being currently offered to those living in California, are graduates of the lvn to bsn program able to be licensed in California? I am considering completing the ISU online lvn to bsn program, but want to make sure I will be able to be licensed in California as I will likely move to and work there one day. Thanks
