NVCC or GMU for pre nursing?
wow congrats!!!! the problem for me is that gum is very expensive and really hard to get into. i don't want to waste my time with their pre reqs unless i know i will get it. so all the stories i heard is not true that ADNs can't get any jobs?! wow thats great news because if i do nova first then mason i will save over 20 K. is it hard to get a job as a tech? thanks for all your help!! PS what was your GPA before they let you into the program?

NVCC or GMU for pre nursing?
so do you recommend that i go to nvcc first and get a job somewhere smaller than a hospital maybe a doctors office? then do my rn-bsn online through mason? is it at least easy for ADN nurses to find a job at dr office?

NVCC or GMU for pre nursing?
I am SO SORRY!! i literally just found this reply, i never even got a notification. so you think it is worth it to go to nova and then GMU even though it will take me an extra 18 months? because I'm skipping the online hybrid semester, i haven't heard anyone talk about it and it seems really really hard to do it online. What do you think?

need advice: GMU or NVCC/NOVA nursing
Hello lovely people!! I really need opinions/ feedback, any and all is very welcome. If I get my RN at nova then finish my RN-BSN at mason, it will take me 18 more months than if i go straight to mason. my question is- should I just bite the bullet and just get some pre reqs done and just go to Mason for my Nursing? I have heard their program is not the best and the teachers are not very good and that it doesn't really prepare you to be an actual nurse. On the other hand, I have heard NOVA has amazing nursing teachers. Apparently their program prepares you more to be a nurse and is better. Does anyone have any idea whats really the difference is between the 2 schools? Is it worth it to sacrifice my time at nova (it will be much cheaper) to get a "more quality" education or is Mason nursing not as horrible as people make it out to be? I would finish faster if I did it at Mason but I would be in more debt. I understand I eventually have to get my BSN and I know some nurses do it online, Mason has an online rn-BSN program. so my two options- either take longer at nova and be in less debt or go to mason, finish 18 months sooner and be in much more debt but risk not being the best nurse I can be. Im just so torn on what to do. I feel like either way I am losing out on something. Anybody who has been through this or has advice as to what I should do PLEASE PLEASE tell me. I'm so lost, all I want to do is be a great nurse

NVCC or GMU for pre nursing?
Hello wonderful people:) So i want nothing more than to be a nurse but i am so clueless on which school to pick! i saw a very old thread on here from a few years back claiming employers love nova grads because they actually get more clinical hours than mason grads and i was wondering if that was still true? overall which science program/ professors want to help you more on your path to success? I have to pay for school myself so getting a quality education is very important but so is remaining out of serious debt. which experience was the best for you/ a loved one? ANY and all advice is so welcome thank you all :)
