I would try lab corp. When I signed up for my drug test, they had the prices of the shots we needed as well as the physical. I think the physical was 45 and the shots ranged between 20-40 dollars. It may come out a little cheaper than the urgent care place.

That's my main reason for applying to FSCJ for nursing, because of their reputation. I think the administration is that way for a reason. In a way, they are preparing us for the real world. There isn't a huge window for time prep in the medical field and you have to get things done under pressure and at the drop of a dime. It reminds me of how my friend described her experience at FAMU. She said you had to stay on top of admin and work for everything they gave you and not take it personal. But she also said that prepared her when she graduated because that's how it really was and she had a head start against others. Yea it's frustrating but I believe they make us better.

That would suck if they wait that late but as long as it's an acceptance letter, I will take it lol. And I haven't decided on days or nights yet with my daughter. Does anyone know if n/w does clinical both Saturday and Sunday from 7am to 7pm or is that just an estimate? I still would like to make it to church some. Plus I know if you pick nights, you have to stick with it throughout the whole program (unless you're granted a switch) and I'm not sure I want to stay in n/w the whole 16 months.

Quick Question, if you get the worksource scholarship, do you still get your financial aid as well? I don't plan on working the first semester and I could pay a few bills with the refund from financial aid if I still get it.

I wish mail ran on Sundays lol. I'm going crazy especially since some of your friends got their BSN letters.

I feel like I'm behind reading the comments about those of you that work in a hospital. If you don't mind me asking, did you guys have any experience before you started? If not, how did you get the position or find out about it? I've applied before but they always say a certain amount of experience before they consider anyone.

You guys have me so anxious that they may be sending out letters this weekend lol my brain is in overload. I really hope they do so that I won't have anxiety until mid November.

Yea, how are you guys hearing about info sessions and receiving applications in the mail? I was told we had to get one by email or go to north campus to pick one up?

We don't have to do the chemistry section on the HESI for FSCJ. The only sections they are taking are Anatomy and Physiology, Biology (I didn't do so well on which is why I'm taking it again), Math, and Reading Comprehension. You have to do the learning style section to but there is no score. It's really not a difficult test but it is very broad and general. For those of you who have taken it what was the most difficult section for you.

OK so I have 178.4 points total without Micro. But my question is, if I have a chemistry that's 4 credits instead of 3, will they count it as 4 or just as 3 because that will give me 2 extra points. What did everyone else get? I'm nervous because I don't even have a scale of the points they are accepting because of the new stuff added and taken away.

Hey guys new to this discussion board and all the new changes are already giving me a headache. So I already took my Hesi a few weeks ago and it wasn't too bad. I went in without studying first to see how well I would do (which is crazy because it's $95) I'm going to take it again though. I got 80 overall but I did really bad in the biology section because I haven't taken that since high school. I don't even know if they take the overall score or go by sections. I know you guys said the new packet was being thrown out but if someone could email me a copy just so I can get some kind of understanding of What's going on I would really appreciate it. CPR, all prerequisite with an A (with both chemistry and sociology in case they change their mind) and I'm taking Micro in the fall. The test is my only concern about getting in and the fact that we're the first batch with the new changes makes me nervous as well. Sorry it's so long.

Hi, I'm new to the discussion board and all this information is so helpful. I'm not applying for fall but spring 2015 and I'm so excited I can't contain myself lol. I take my Hesi this week and I'm so nervous. I was all ready to take the NAT a few weeks ago and went in and they had changed it 2 days prior. I still would have taken it but it was $95 and I only had the money for the NAT at the time which was 40. I've talked to Ms. ***** about some of the changes and a lot of things are unclear since I think they are trying to get everything in order. However she did say that the prerequisites are still the same but as of Fall 2015 you are no longer able to be enrolled in Micro and apply. It has to be completed as well as all other prereqs. (A&P 1 and 2, Mac 1105, etc). She didn't give much info on the Hesi which I am not surprised about, for some reason FSCJ is really tight lipped about their entrance test and scoring or test tips. If it wasn't for sites like these we all would be lost. Good luck to you guys for the upcoming fall.
