  1. Hey, I am currently a student at Holy Name- I figured I'd shoot you guys some info. HNMC does require a "64" on the TEAS but its not set in stone, what they look at is your Reading and Writing section, if you can shine through those sections you're in! As for the interview, it really does depend on which program. Day and Evening may have the same curriculum but they are both very different. Evening is extremely challenging, the instructors expect a lot, and if they don't get whats asked they'll give you the boot. The day program is more understanding, however, at the end of the day- all that matters is that you pass your NCLEX, and unfortunately its human nature to learn through tough love. Both programs, evening and day are exceptional. Between clinical hours and simulation labs, you really do learn. Its amazing how much knowledge could be gained in a year. Its a tough school but anyone can do it. If you're able to put everything on hold and focus on nursing for just one year, you'll be fine. Hope this helped- good luck!
  2. T_Michelle: any particular study materials you would reccomend?
  3. What was the most challenging section? What particularly did you find difficult? Purchased ATI study guide, but just recently heard that Codon Charts will be on the TEAS, which isn't in the study book.
  4. Wow you guys have been a great help! Now I don't feel so overloaded, most of you have been on the same boat!
  5. Ps. Did anyone work while in nursing school? If so, part time or full time?
  6. Prospective nursing student, debating on whether or not to move 40 minutes away. How long is your commute to school?
  7. How long is your commute to school? Prospective Nursing Student debating on whether or not to move about an hour away from school.
  8. Google TEAS study preps, YouTube. Is it a Teas V test? Or do they have their own? I'm starting Holy Name Nursing in Teaneck in May, studying for their entrance exam right now actually. Good luck tomorrow!
  9. Just purchased TEAS Pocket Prep app. I think it's helpful- has 940 questions, similar to ATI study manual, and also explains every question/answer.
