  1. Congrats to you all that got in!!! I did not receive anything yet. I applied with 224 points. I reside at St Johns county and I am starting to worry that as somebody mentioned, only residents of Duval and Nassau get the priority regardless of the score!
  2. For everyone who has been accepted by JU for May 2015, and plan on accepting their seat, please join the Facebook group. It will be great to share insights and information on there as we go through the program together! Here's the link to the Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1080418801975113/
  3. Yes, I live in Jax.
  4. OMG! I just got my acceptance letter from JU! Hope to see you all there in May! Please post when you get yours and we should start a FB page! Good luck!!!!!
  5. Someone told me that if you leave at any county other than St Johns or Nassau, you don't stand a chance of getting in, even if you have the highest number of points. I live at St Johns county and this comes as a surprise, if that's true. Anyone knows anything about it?
  6. Cheryl James said they calculate points from individual sections by using the formulae they provided instead of cumulative HESI score. Also, if you take HESI twice, as you know, they will use the best score out of two attempts.
  7. Kristin, I believe you are correct. From what Ms. James has stated, the only course that can be in progress at the time of application is Micro or Chem, if Micro grade is already in. Just make sure that you grade posts before you apply for the fall.
  8. Happy New Year to all! Anyone has submitted the application package yet for summer start? How many points are you guys applying with? I am planning on driving mine over to North Campus next week. On another note, I can's stop wondering why this blog does not have nearly as much activity as the spring 2015 blog from potential applicants. It had so many new posts every day. Is it coincidental or not a popular semester to apply? Also, what HESI studying resources did you find the best for yourselves? I am retaking it next week. Would love to hear from you. Its getting close! Wishing us all luck in 2015!
  9. If the micro course I took at another college gets on my transcript on time before the deadline, I should have 218 points. I got 101 on HESI and the rest is grades. How did you do on HESI, if you don't mind me asking?
  10. I think the fact that you are submitting the application within this window, by itself will indicate that you are applying for the summer 2015 term. But you can always shoot Cheryl James an email asking for clarification.
  11. Does anyone have an idea what number of points approximately will get you a seat in the program, based on the new revised packet? Do you find you gained more points or less with the weighted grades/new point system? Thank you
  12. I wonder if there are less people applying historically than for spring and fall start? Anyone knows any statistics on it? There are only 96 seats, as opposed to 144 for other semesters. Did everyone applying for Summer 2015 take the HESI yet?

  14. Hello y'all! It seems there is no thread yet for JU (Jacksonville University) ABSN cohort for 2015, so I wanted to get the ball rolling, as the application deadline is fast approaching. How is it going for you? Are you applying to several other local schools? What's your background? Look forward to hearing from you and sharing experiences (and hopefully making it into the program together:))
