My biggest thing is to try to get myself on some type of schedule. My school is also about 40 mins or so away from me as well. So then there's to drive to factor in while working. I was too afraid to to nights Monday through Friday cause I didn't think I'd have time to study.

I can't really do energy drink. They're too much for me. Maybe I'll just have to see how it goes.

How did you happen to stay awake? Did you record lectures?

Does yours work where you work Friday night and work for Saturday and go in Saturday night to work for Sunday? Cause if you go in Sunday night, you're technically working for Monday right? That's why I chose weekends. I recently got moved to the ADN program and now found out that I have class M, W, and F. I have class 8:30-12:30 on Monday. I don't work the rest of the week until I go back NEXT weekend. I won't work EVERY weekend. It's just every other weekend from 11 PM-7 AM.

1Hey everyone! I'm a new CNA that just got an offer to interview for a LTC/Rehab facility. The shift choices were 7-3, 3-11, and 11-7 with $9/hrs with a $1.25 shift differential and weekends only. I'll be starting nursing school in August. I was wondering if anyone has worked this shift in nursing school and how did you function goi g to class that Monday after working 11-7 on Sunday? I would have class 8:30-2:30 with a 30 min lunch. Is this something that doable? Sounds scary but I feel it's the best to give me time to study and work at the same time. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I got mine. I don't know there's a lag between certain people's mail. It'll come tomorrow for sure.

I applied to both. I want ADN but if I get LPN,I won't be too upset. I at least got into a program. I'm just not so patiently waiting to hear something, anything.

How many times have you taken the test? It wasn't hard till I got to the science part. Yikes! How are you feeling about your chances of getting in?

I was at a university in Pembroke. I won't name it because I don't know the rules. I was in a BSN program but got dismissed due to a dosage calculation exam. I made an 80% and I needed an 85%. I was in semester 3 of 5. So close to the end. So if I do get in, I'm solely focusing on only nursing courses. I took pharm in that program and made a B. It was rough. I'm hoping that will transfer over. I've sent in my transcripts and everything on time but there's nothing in webadvisor. That's frustrating. For some reason, I think the TEAS will hold me back. I feel it's really low but it's over the national average and program average so it can't be too bad. I'm just hoping it's enough!! I'm in Fayetteville though. I was hoping we were close. Haha! I turned in my phlebotomy certificate as well. I only scored a 68 on the TEAS. I should've turned in my medical assisting degree but was afraid it wouldn't count since it was a private institution that my criedits don't transfer from. So technically I could've possibly gotten points but now will never know about that. I got all As and Bs in those classes that are listed for points. I spoke to someone in the program. He had all his classes and made a 64 on the TEAS, only applied for ADN and got put on the alternate list but got in the program only because ONE person declined their seat. That's a little scary but I've applied for both LPN and ADN because I didn't want to put all my eggs in one basket cause it seemed everyone in the room was only applying to ADN. I want ADN so that I can do a bridge program and not have to wait that long though. I hope we both get in! What city do you live in if you don't mind me asking?

Me too! I'm currently finishing up my CNA and going to test April 18th. I wish there was more on the process of points or their selection process. I didn't do the best on the TEAS. But I have all the classes on the extra points except medical terminology and I've finished all my pre reqs.

Hi! Has anyone applied to Bladen Community College? I did everything last minute having failed out of a program in February and needing to have everything in by March 1st. I'm worried I won't get in!
