im an lvn with paranoid schizophrenia. i work in hh now. im thinking about going abck to school for the adn, and work in hh in quality assurance while im beaing monitored by tpapn for my mental health dx. its 8-5 , theres two nurses and a nurse manager on shift to be monitored . i was also thinking maybe dialysis. where have you some of you all with bp or schizophrenia worked at?
  4. did you have to go through a monitoring program kay 28? or did you not disclose? if so what was your experience with it?
  5. Hi bella I am a nurse with a mental condition, and its pleseant to see some people going into the field that have mental illnesses. it would be a great triumph to get through nursing school alone, and needless to say work and retire. I personally disclosed earlier this year in February. I was referred to tpapn, but then I declined. So they put some formal charges on me, but I spoke to the lawyer that provided legal counsel to my investigator. he told me as long as I agree to tpapn they will be taken off. Did the board refer you to tpapn?
  6. How would the Texas BON find out about a dwi or an arrest for any reason...if you don't report it. do they do background checks everytime you renew? My friend got arrested for dwi, but hasn't been convicted. by the looks of the application you only have to report after you ve been convicted.
