    I am a nursing student (RN program), and before starting school I had a positive PPD test. I was sent to an emergency CXR which turned out clear. My question is, what is going to happen once I start my clinicals? What about when I graduate and try to apply for a job? At this point I am not sure if I have latent TB or it was just a skin reaction. Will hospitals refuse to hire me if I don't undergo treatment for LTB? What is the protocol as far as hiring for LTB in your hospitals? I would rather not undergo treatment because I grew up in Europe and most likely will visit again and perheps will be exposed again to it. Also, coming in contact with future patients who may have TB. The side effects of the treatment seem to be aweful in some cases, and I would rather avoid that. If indeed I have latent TB, can I work as an RN with just periodic/annual CXRs ? Thank you everyone in advance
