  1. hello everyone, i've been frequenting this site for a while now, especially when i start freaking myself out about certain impending academic doom and being a forever student, and i have to say this site has helped me out so much. this is my first time posting, and i'm hoping someone will be able to help me out, as the counselors at my community college unfortunately do not seem qualified nor interested. i'm looking to apply to lbcc and goldenwest adn programs and hopefully quality for the bsn track or apply to an adn-bsn program once i have finished. with that being said my gpa is about a 3.0+ once my grades finalize for this semester, and my science gpa is also a 3.0. this next semester i am taking a math class at UCLA extension and once i complete that i should receive my associates degree from Los Angeles Harbor College. Now, i dont know what to do next, it seems that both lbcc and goldenwest are now only accepting applications once a year, and i need to take the teas test before applying, so that probably means i should wait until next year to apply, as i dont think i'll be ready to take it in a few weeks. i dont know what steps i need to take next and i dont know if i am supposed to apply to the colleges before applying to the programs. i dont feel my grades are competitive enough and i also worry about lack of volunteer/work experience. i also have 2 W's in anatomy and physiology from my very first semester in college (fall 2009) when i was young and stupid and thought taking both science classes at the same time was an ingenious idea. on top of that, i retook physiology, received a 'D' and am now taking it again, this time i believe i'm earning an 'A'. so i guess my question is, will this effect me? what is the best course of action to take? when should i take the teas? i feel lost in a vast see of complicated nursing school procedures that keep changing and i dont know how to get on top of it all. please help!
