  1. I'm not sure if grades really matter. Just explain in detail when writing your personal statement as to why your grades are low. If they see you have tried, or experienced hardships the grades might be forgiving.
  2. I was accepted into UTMB AGNP program with only 10 months of experience at the time of the application. So I guess trying pays off.
  3. 1. Hello there, I've applied to TTUHSC and UTMB. 2. My first choice is Texas Tech FNP program. 3.The specialty is AGNP at UTMB, and TTUHSC FNP. 4. My GPA nursing is a 3.8, lower division GPA 3.0, no GRE needed, no special community service, or certifications, no big wigs writing references, just hard work and dedication, at the time of application I had about 10 months experience. 5. I've heard back from UTMB AGNP program and kindly accepted. 6. I start in the Fall (August 2014). 7. Online program with a couple visits to the campus.
  4. I was accepted into UTMB AGNP Fall program a couple of weeks ago. A few people I work with goes to Walden. They have no complaints and like that the program can be completed sooner. Personally, I prefer somewhere that has a long tradition with producing quality professionals.
  5. Thanks for the words of encouragement. I have heard nothing but the opposite of the difficulty in getting into the program. Really hope everything goes in my favor. So far I've been accepted into UTMB AGNP program. What do you think about AGNP vs. FNP?
  6. Never too young to follow your passion. I am also applying to an FNP program with on 10 months of nursing experience. You will never know unless you try.
  7. I should clarify my original post. Has anyone applied for the TTUHSC FNP fall 2014 program?
  8. Has anyone applied? I know my chances are slim because I only have ten months of experience. But I will never know unless I try.
