  1. Hi everyone --- So I have just enrolled at the National American University in Minnesota to get a BSN and start my pre-reqs in a couple weeks. However, I just saw a news article on WCCO regarding For-Profit colleges/Nursing Programs and they say that these type of colleges might be ripping you off in the end because all they want is your money, and you may have trouble getting a job as an RN right away due to the specific accreditation they have, AND you may be in deep debt! I chose this college because I am 30 years old, need to have a job during the time I go to school and have a prior Bachelor's degree - they offer online pre-reqs classes and when you're in the Nursing program they offer evening classes as well so you can work while you attend school (knowing that I will be working as an RN once I pass my exam). I wanted to ask everyone if you have heard ANYTHING negative about this school and their Nursing Program, or any positives as well - working as a successful Nurse, etc... PLEASE HELP!! I am confused on what to do and while I would choose to go to the U of M for Nursing -- their class curriculum/times aren't convenient with having to have a job during this new change for me and strongly discourage not to have a job! Any help would be SUPER appreciated! Thanks! :)
