  1. I just replied to the email by thanking them and then respectfully declining. I received an email back right away stating that they had a large wait list and that letting them know early would fasten the pace and make someone's day. I'm extremely happy for that. Congrats again and good luck everyone.
  2. Hi guys, I've been accepted to but I would like to decline since I'm starting this summer at UT-Houston instead. Does anyone know how to decline? I don't see any link for me to and I want to open up my spot for someone else ASAP. Congrats to everyone, I know we've all worked hard to be here and we were like a small sub-internet family. Hope we meet in the nursing field one day. Goodluck
  3. ^^^those stats were my mistake and it won't let me edit it. I was hoping no one would notice. Sorry guys
  4. mypicasso2014: Thank you and good luck! I hope you get the email soon. I know at some point I'd decided that I would be happy if they would just send me anything, even a denial letter, so I would know for sure. Would someone please add me to the Facebook group? I have so many questions and don't even where to begin.
  5. I just got accepted to UTHSC-Houston summer start and I'm really happy but disappointed at the same time. I didn't think I was going to get accepted to the Houston one so I devoted most of my time to this forum and I feel like I know you guys more than the Houston ones. However, since I already live in Houston I've accepted the spot. Happy but sad that I won't meet you guys in the great city of San Antonio. Good luck everyone.
  6. Anyone who has not been accepted check your emails. I just got my acceptance email. My stats are 93 hesi 830 critical thinking. 2.3 overall and 2.25 science. I really didn't think I was going to make it but I did so don't give up!!!!!
  7. @ratlady-if I get accepted I'm going to send them an email about some of my courses. I went to A&M and will have 104 hours after this semester and I'd be extremely upset if I have to take anymore considering I'm still unsure of their policy regarding maximum hrs until out of state tuition applies. Good luck on your petition. @Saucynat-yes, I'm almost certain that this is a full two year program with summers off. I don't know about y'all but I would prefer the break and taking things by stride than to do it all at once. @Badgerb0y- I didn't want to risk it and made mine fit the box without it getting smaller. It didn't make sense to me to go beyond that cause then you could make it as long as you want. Also keep in mind that your supplementary app only counts as 1%.
  8. That sucks. I'm also concern about several of my classes not transferring. I wish they would send evaluations so that we can check if all our classes transfer.
  9. I signed it electronically using adobe reader since my printer was out of ink.
  10. No high school gpa does not count. What courses did you need to petition for?
  11. Mirasmom, I think your answer is correct given you situation. Just tell them basically what you just told us in the explanation part and they should understand. They're just trying to determine the basis of your claim that you are in fact a Texas resident so they don't bill you out of state tuition.
  12. Oh yeah, you're right I got confused by all the dates on my calendar. Too much going on in April I can't even think.
  13. I finished mine too. Hope they don't mind electronic signature. Also I realized that April 4 is a friday so if you don't get accept that day you have to wait ALLLL WEEKENDDDD. Just let that sink in...
  14. Yes. The instructions said most of us will have a lot of blanks so it should be fine. Furthermore I'm excited that we'll be hearing back the week of April 7-11 but i know it'll be in alphabetical order again so most of us probably won't hear anything til the middle of the week. Bummer.
  15. I also received mine, last name In.
  16. yup, my inbox is still empty. Completey void, just like I imagine the admissions counsel's souls to be.
  17. Pretty strange that they're taking so long since UTHSCSA have a pretty good rep of getting everything done earlier than everyone else.
  18. No prob! Hope you get in :)
  19. A&M is now doing the accelerated program so if you wanted to, you could get your BSN and then your MSN in three years! Most other MSN program require you work for a year or two before you can even apply. I'm also waiting to hear back from them but that would definitely be my first choice. Either case, they are all great schools and congrats on getting in!!!
  20. When should be start getting vaccinated? I'm terrified of needles and not looking forward to this but I feel like I need to start soon since some of them take some time.
  21. Thanks so much!!! I feel a lot better now. I emailed them yesterday and they got back to me this morning. She very politely told me that Calculus does count and the courses involved in the math and gpa calculations consist of: College math, Statistics, A&P I,II, Chemistry I,II, Microbiology, Nutritions. She also mentioned that my teas has already been received, NursingCAS has received and evaluated my transcripts, my application is sent, and now I wait :)
  22. WlongTX, how long did it take you to hear back when you emailed them?
  23. As long as you send everything in to NursingCAS and it's submitted on time, you are clear.
  24. Oh and does anyone know if Calculus I is considered a higher math course other than algebra? It saids College Algebra or higher and I've only taken Calc I and II, and statistics.
  25. The site shows me what classes to take, but I still have no idea what they consider as the math and science prereq. For UTHSC houston, it's just A&P I and II, Chem I, and Microbiology. For others, it includes, Growth and Development and Statistics. I can't seem to find where it specifies this on their website.
