  1. Hi! I might be able to answer some of your questions. I'm sending you a PM
  2. Hello! I've been out of school 20 yrs and about to start my pre-reqs. I have to take Teas in a couple of months, but don't know where to start. So my question is for people who've been in a similar situation what study guide did you use? Any other books to help you other than the study guide? I've started a refresher on math, just the basics, and working my way up. Any pointers will be appreciated...
  3. Lakeland...sorry
  4. Thanks again Laurarene are you at the Tampa campus or Lakekand? I'm right in the middle of both, but I think with traffic Lakeland would be the best bet for me.
  5. Laurarene...I tried to pm you, but I need more posts. I'm 35 as well and have an 8 year old. I know exactly what you mean about wanting to do this ASAP. I'm visiting both schools this week, leaning more into going to Keiser. I do need the prereqs, want to start in April and that'll give me exactly the 9 months for gen courses and start core in January. Do you think is doable? Are you in Tampa or Lakeland? they are both about the same distance from me. Thanks again
  6. Thanks laurarene! When did you start your gen ed courses? And when do you finish them? I have to take them as well. I would like to start as soon as possible and maybe start core courses in Jan. I'm a little confused with the regional accreditation thing...is it a problem to transfer credits here in Florida or anywhere in the US?
  7. Hello! I live in the Tampa are and I'm looking into the nursing programs @ Keiser & Everest. Just wanted to hear for students or former students. The good, the bad.... I know they are both private and quite pricey, but I'm willing to pay if I'm going to receive the education that I need. What program would you recommend? Why? How are the classes? Clinicals? Thanks
  8. Hello! I'm looking into Keiser (Tampa, Lakeland or Ft. Lauderdale) for nursing program. I need to take my pre-req classes and know that they are one class per month. Do they offer the gen classes in Dec? How about the core Are they one class per month or do they do them by semesters? Are the semesters back to back? Any info would be great
  9. dzcafe how do you plan to do it in a year? Would love to that too...

  12. dzcafe I start taking online classes in Feb, the general courses. I'll be in the Island only for 2 years so I'm doing the associates and I'll do my BSN online later on. I should be in PR June or July. What are your plans?
  13. I plan on attending La Inter in August or November. I'll only be on the island for two years, so I was also hoping there was an accelerated associates...but 5 trimesters sound great! Do a lot of students take The Nclex? I've read here that it's easier to sit for the Wisconsin one, but what others states do they sit for? And how easy or hard is it to sit for other states? And if you sit for Wisconsin, how easy or hard is it to get your license endorsed in other states?
