This is my first post on this website, and it's because I've been searching for answers/words of wisdom. Basically, I'm nearly done with my nursing pre-reqs. All I have to do is finish this microbiology course (with a B or better) and I'm eligible to apply to the RN program. However I currently have a 70% in the class which is clearly NO GOOD. I spoke with my professor today who said I either try my very hardest and get the grade I'm going to get OR I purposely miss the final exam to fail the class so I can take it again. I was nearly in tears. But, my courseload has been particularly high this semester (micro, stats, CNA) and my fiance started a new job (we only have one car) plus we have a 3 year old daughter. So, I'm the most tired I've ever been (I know, I might as well get used to it right?). It just doesn't seem realistic to think that I can bring my grade all the way up to where it needs to be. On the plus-side, I did get accepted to the 2014-2015 LVN program. It's progress, but I feel like its bittersweet. I've been going to school since 2009, and I was hoping that by now I would be able to apply to the RN program but it just doesn't seem like it's going to happen. Would going into the LVN program make it harder for me to move up to RN? And, does anyone who's in socal know the new requirements for repeated courses? I know at CSUF, they don't accept repeated courses at all anymore. Can I retake micro at a different cc even if I get a C this semester?
