  1. I also got accepted on Monday for neonatal NP! Woohoo! Congrats to everyone :-)
  2. Congrats to you guys! Mine still says pending... I hope there is an actual email sent out with decisions too
  3. I stopped looking at my email! Disappointed they take so long... everyone else I know heading back to school in the fall has been accepted for weeks. I'm going to guess that it won't be posted tomorrow í ½í¸†í ½í¸”
  4. Mine says still currently in review but I was applying for NNP and not FNP. Wonder if each specialty will post at different times? Hope not, I'm ready for a yes or no so I can get on with my life lol
  5. Nothing yet! I'm so nervous. This legitimately is the only program I applied to. Well I applied to another one as backup but I don't really want that one.
  6. But yes I hope we hear back sooner this year and so maybe we can make alternative plans for the fall
  7. I hope you get an interview for OU! I only applied to OSU because of their NNP program that is delivered online but I am out of state so... does OU have one? I'll have to research. i am hoping that I get in though! Yes, the questions were kind of close ended and even the first one where it asked me to tell them about myself I got cut off because I only got 2 mins! I feel like you can't really tell them about yourself in a couple minutes.
  8. The 4 questions they asked I feel like were not enough! I just completed mine and I think they didn't really ask much... so much I wanted to include that there questions didn't allow for
  9. How was the interview? Doing mine tomorrow! A little nervous and don't know what to wear :)
  10. Congrats! good luck! I think I'm going to do mine next week. Let's definitely keep in touch here! Hopefully we get an acceptance sooner than later as you said
  11. Actually I just got an invite this morning to interview online in a webcam format where I will be recording myself essentially? Let me know if you hear anything.
  12. I am following this post even though I didn't apply to FNP. So maybe we can help eachother out if we hear any news. I am a NICU RN and applied to the online neonatal NP program. Haven't heard anything back. Feeling good about my letters and statement. My BSN GPA was a 3.79, and have 2 yrs RN experience. Fingers crossed!
  13. Do you just log into DORA and go to the Verify a license? And type in your name? I am just not sure, I took my test today and am iffy about it but have the "good pop up" after checking it 5 hours later and it's still good 6 hours after that....feeling less anxious... If you could please share how you looked it up please! I have a CNA license so I'm wondering if two will show up for me or however that works
  14. I know we really haven't talked on here before but I am too awaiting to hear from Piedmont. My name is Jorge and am an out of state applicant from Colorado! Really just trying to focus on the NCLEX and stumbled upon this comment and I am glad! I steered away from Kaplan as it was expensive for studying... and am reassured I made the right choice by buying the NCSBN 5 week review! Reading your comment made me more reassured! I am only on day 4 but I love it! Learning a ton of content I don't even remember going over in nursing school! I am taking my boards early July so if there is any other advice you can give me, I appreciate it! I am really nervous, I just don't want to be that guy that gets a job lined up and cannot begin it because they didn't pass the first time!
  15. I submitted my questionnaire last week! Good luck to us all! I am from Colorado and am really really wanting to begin my career at Emory!!!!
  16. When is the application due? I am looking to relocate to ATL for a new grad RN job after graduating in May. I am from Denver.
  17. That's awesome! I am very personable and really enjoy 1:1 time with my patients so I think it would be perfect! Especially if I can do that with the Hispanic Community and educate them properly since I can teach and do my assessments in Spanish. Yeah, I don't want to fall into the "med/surg crazy busy floors" and hate my life. Do you know if your friend has great benefits and such?
  18. Thank you for these! I am looking into Clinica as we speak. It is nice because it seems like a nice combination of nursing (skills typically on a hospital floor) with public health nursing.
  19. Hi, I am a Male Nursing Student in Colorado graduating in May with my BSN. I am searching to find any input, advice, or opinions on the application process to New Grad Programs since I need to begin soon (Feb-March). The Job Market in Colorado is really bad (as anywhere else from what i've read on this site), but I was wondering if anyone had any idea where (location wise) it might be a good idea to apply.... I do speak other languages (fluent in Spanish and Italian) and am curious as to if there are any areas who really are in need of Spanish speaking nurses that would give me a leg up during New Grad application process? Where is there a major need? I really want to work in a Pediatric ICU, but will honestly take any good clinical position as to start getting experience as a staff nurse. I currently live in Colorado and work for the University of Colorado Hospital. I plan on applying to there New grad program as well, but, I am still interested in moving/looking elsewhere especially since I can work in major hispanic populated areas.... but I don't know. Any comments or suggestions? I appreciate any feedback as I begin stressing over this job hunting business..
