Stressed
Thanks for the wonderful reply! I hate going to work thinking I'm being hated. But I do this for my son! I hate two faced people!

Stressed
I got a new job in April as a nurse working in a home dialysis clinic. I was liking it, until the other day. Two co-workers talked about me behind my back. I saw a text i shouldn't have. It said Badically that I suck, after confronting the two co-workers. They said that they are frustrated with the flow of the unit, and I made two mistakes. I feel stressed now having to go to work. I feel like I am not welcomed anymore. I wish I could work from home. Any advice on how to push through this? I am an extremely sensitive person and this is making me sick to my stomach.

Thank you so much for all that info, should I apply and interview even at almost 27 weeks pregnant? Or wait till after birth?

Thanks, I actually do have insurance through my husband. But if I work full time and am offered insurance his company won't give me insurance. My current company will not offer insurance if I stay below 30 hours. But in my long run I want to look into other options. How do I find ambulatory peds and what is a DHS nurse case worker, and what do they do? Thanks for your reply

Where do I even begin to look? I think that's my problem, I told my husband I don't know what I want. I like pediatric home care but money and insurance is a problem (with the company I am with now)

Lost...
So I am an RN with BSN. I started working in pediatric home care, and I left after 1.5 years and started working in a hospital. I lasted one year and was miserable. I ended up leaving and going back to peds home care. Downfall is the pay is low, and no insurance. I honestly feel lost and I don't know which direction to go with a career. I could apply to Children's hospital of Philadelphia home care, but I am 26 weeks pregnant right now so I should wait till little man is born. Any advise on career options for a peds nurse that doesn't include hospital care. I have been working in hospital for over 10 years (as a CNA) and realizing it's not for me. Thanks for your input!

Don't know what to do...
I am a med/surg nurse who is 5.5 months pregnant. I did work pediatric home care for 1.5 years and switched to med/surg floor nurse about 8 months ago. I am terrified of work, and I know this is not for me. I work full time nights and I want to resign but my insurance is too good and I want to have the baby before deciding on my next move, and to have a year experience. I want to go back to pediatric homecare. I am interested in CHOP home care. Anoone have input on this? And also how do I stop being so scared of dementia and psych patients? I am truly scared of dealing with them...and I really don't know why.

New RN and wanting to start my family...
I am a newly licensed RN in PA. I passed the boards 4-1-14 and have been looking for a job since. I just turned 30 and my husband is turning 35. We have been married almost 5 years and have put off having children till I was done nursing school. My question is (and I know this is ultimately our decision) should I start trying now to conceive or wait until I have a job and am in that job for a few months before trying. I am unsure of maternity laws in pa, other then FMLA (12 months or 1250 hours) most new grads are finding jobs 6-8 months out of school. I also just started my BSN classes which will be done in August 2014. I am excited to have a baby and would love to start now but I am so unsure what to do---I don't want to postpone too long since we would love to have 2-3 children. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!

I just found it weird I have gotten no calls or emails.

Looking for Pediatric job in Philadelphia
I just passed my boards on April 1st, 2014. I applied to numerous(!!) RN positions from adult care to peds and med-surg to ER to ICU. I applied to PSA home health care too. It has been a month of applying and I have gotten no one return email or phone (only two emails saying that I was not selected for the job position). How long are new grads waiting for jobs? and Does anyone out there working in NICU setting have any input on how to jump start a pediatric career. That has been my dream for 13 years to be a NICU nurse and I can't seem to find my way in anywhere---it all says experience req'd. Please help!!! Thanks everyone!!
