Hello, I have a few questions and I'm really hoping someone who goes to any of these universities can answer or help me. If you have transferred to FIU, UCF, NOVA or UF nursing program from out of state or even in state PLEASE tell me what you think of my situation, or even your experience. I am a current student in NJ attending a community college to do my prerequisites for the nursing program. By the end of this fall '13 semester, i will have Anatomy 1 & 2, Intro to Psych, Lifespan Development, Intercultural Communication, completed. For the upcoming semester in the spring '14, I will be taking Microbiology and Statistics. I was interested into transferring to FIU, UCF, NOVA, or UF for the BSN program for the fall of 2014. I am really afraid I won't get accepted to any because I would be a transfer student and because of how competitive the field is. I have a 4.0 GPA right now, but in my Anatomy 2 class which I will be finishing this December, I currently have a B (85). I still have 2 more exams to bring that up, but I'm afraid if I don't do well on those and stay with the B for A&P 2, it will drop my overall GPA down to like a 3.6. Do you think they would even consider a transfer student for the nursing program with a GPA like that?? & will they even consider to accept you into the program if you haven't completed every prerequisite???? The reason I ask is because I will still need to take Chemistry and Nutrition Also, if you did get accepted to any of these universities as a transfer, what did you do to get in??? (grades? gpa? classes taken? volunteer?, etc ) please & thank you
