  1. Thank you all! I will look into everything suggested and appreciate your advice! My school does not combine anatomy and physiology. They are separate classes. I have to take chemistry before I can take physiology, so I am taking that next semester as well.
  2. I do like to color. Where are books like that sold? I guess I could just look it up. Haha. Are muscles and skeletal the most focused on in anatomy? Is there anything else that is also of great importance? (obviously the whole class is important, just what they focus on the most.)
  3. I'll begin taking my anatomy class at the end of January. Would it be smart to start learning the terms ahead of time using online practice sheets and information? Or should I wait?
  4. Believe me, I don't. I feel like the system at my college is ridiculous and unfair, but I am thankful that I did have a way into the classes. I'm taking chemistry and anatomy at the college thats an hour and fifteen away, to make the drive worth it.
  5. We have ten days from the day we register for the class to pay for it. If not, then we are dropped. I will probably just deal with the drive to Grass Valley twice a week. I can't deal with the uncertainty of whether or not I will get the class.
  6. Our school has priority registration, so veterans, foster kids, disabled, etc. all choose classes first, and then goes by how many credits you have completed. Priority registration begins a week before open registration, and I was allowed to choose classes 3 days before open registration starts. We don't have preregistration. I even went and spoke with a counselor. There's another campus that is part of my college that offers anatomy, but it is an hour and fifteen minutes from where I live. I may have to bite the bullet and drive there twice a week. That class is still open.
  7. So my registration date finally came around after painfully watching the classes I need fill up. I managed to get on the wait-list for chemistry and anatomy... Each class has 24 people per class, and a 20 person wait-list. I'm number 18 on the wait-list for anatomy, and 15 for chemistry. I haven't had to be on a wait-list until this point, so I am not sure what my chances of getting into the classes are. I have to hope 18 people drop the class for anatomy, and hope that 15 drop out of chemistry. It feels a bit discouraging. However, at least I made it to the wait-list! Can people with wait-list experience give their advice on this? I just want to know if it's feasible that 18 people may drop..
  8. Thanks everyone. As of right now, there are 77 open spots left of 120... I'll keep my fingers crossed that come Sunday morning there will be a spot for me. Or at least a spot on the wait list.
  9. Thank you for that advice! I've already been checking nearly every 5 minutes... Registration started this morning, and there are 120 spots for the anatomy teacher I want. There are already 25 people signed up, and i have to wait until Sunday morning! So discouraging.
  10. I spoke to a counselor yesterday about it, and she said I could always try to add the class too if it's full. I'm just concerned about the wait list... Each class has a 20 person wait list. The teacher only has to honor it on day one though... Has anyone ever had luck adding into anatomy?
  11. I'm currently going to school at Sierra College in Rocklin, CA. Why don't colleges offer more a&p classes??? I feel like I'm never going to get into the class since there are so few open... It's only day one of registration and I'm watching the classes fill up already. I can't sign up for classes until Sunday... Is it this way at every school?
