Doubting Myself
Hey everyone, So I'm going to be applying to the universities this semester. The schools I'm going to be applying to are: Cal State Long Beach (first choice), Cal State LA, Cal State Northridge, Cal State Dominguez Hills, and maybe SDSDU. I'm feeling quite discouraged at the moment and just thinking to myself that I may not be able to get into any of these nursing programs that I want to go too because of my g.p.a. I know that for Cal State LA it goes by point system as well as CSULB. At the moment, I have 2 B's for my 2 chemistry courses, C for statistics, A for my critical thinking class, and my anatomy class as in progress but I'm confident enough that I will be able to get an A this semester as well as for the rest of my bio classes that I have to finish since that is my strongest area. My current cumulative g.p.a is a 3.21 which is very weak. I would also like to add that I withdraw from anatomy once last year because I couldn't handle two science classes. And, I read on the CSULB BSN information that withdrawing one of the courses will result in poor progress. But what if I get an A in anatomy this semester? Does that still say that I still failed no matter what? But hopefully, it can go up by the end of this semester since I'm doing very well in all of my classes. The only question is: Do you guys think I will be able to get into any of these schools with my prerequisite grades, cumulative g.p.a., and volunteer work (I have over 100+ hours)? I still have to do my TEAS. By the way, I'm going to be upper division transfer.

Can I get into Nursing Program?
Hii. Well I didn't do well in my first 2 science classes because somewhere along the way I was focusing too much on my other classes. But I am planning to change my schedule for the fall semester to make it my plan to go to school for 2 days, & all of the other days is focused for anatomy. Thanks for the suggestion! I'm definitely going to look into purchasing the material asap!

Can I get into Nursing Program?
Hey everyone. I have 3 more prerequisites (anatomy, microbiology, & physiology) left until I apply for the nursing program. However, I have a fear of getting rejected to the schools I wanted to go since I did get rejected the first time when I tried applying in high school. After 2 years in community college, I am able to get my G.P.A. to a 3.25. However, with my classes that I'm taking this semester, I'm hoping to raise it to at least 3.4 or 3.5 & I'm hoping to get all A's in my bio classes. The schools I'm looking to are Cal State Long Beach & Cal State Fullerton which are my top two schools with Cal State Long Beach being my first priority since sophomore year of high school (now I'm in my junior year of college). Do you guys think I'll be able to get into Cal State Long Beach and into the nursing school if I do well in the rest of my science classes & get a high score on my TEAS test? I'm also doing volunteer work right now too which I don't think matters anymore for Cal State Long Beach. I also received 2 B's for my chem classes, but I heard that the bio classes matters more for Cal State Long Beach. I'm not sure. Anyways, please let me know what you think. I'll be applying summer of 2016 which I'm really excited about. :) My last resort is just my community college that I attend or to one of the UC's.
