U of Calgary Degree holder route Winter 2014
In the first term we had a community placement. My placement was mostly research based with very little interaction with the community however others had different experiences. This semester we are mostly placed in mental health or supportive living facilities so it is more of a hands-on practical role. I didn't have any healthcare related experience prior to coming into the program but a lot of my classmates have.

U of Calgary Degree holder route Winter 2014
Hi Netree, the tuition has been about $3200 a semester and books about $500 a semester. I live at home with my parents so my living expenses are quite low. I applied to the U of A degree holder program and got accepted as well. But from my personal experience I like Calgary as a city way better so thats why I chose U of C. Hi fingers_crossed My one piece of advice when you apply would be to constantly call and check up on your application status as the admissions office seems to be a little slow. My classmates found this out as well. First semester of the program was community health and now we have moved on to family health. I'm really enjoying the program so far. They really ease you into things!

Call for all UofC nursing students this coming January!
So I just realized that my messaging won't work because according to the terms I need 15 high quality posts in order to access that feature, so if it will let me post it, maybe email me your phone number [email protected]

Hi everyone, I have also applied for January and am still waiting to here. It was calming finding this forum and seeing that other people are still awaiting a decision. Also I would recommend having a car, I find the transit system to be a little frustrating to use, but I do live in the deep south of the city.
