  1. I recently took a job with a Home Health in Hawaii. I am still considered a new graduate nurse after two years in SNF/LTC, I have learned a great deal but feel it's time for change and the nurse to patient ratio is crazy not to mention dealing with IVs, PICCs, Gtubes, Trachs and passing medications to 30 people plus the acuity is that of a hospital without the proper equipment. I honestly feel burnt out. I have been reading the topics on Home Health Nursing and seeing that some nurses feel overwhelmed and it's way too much documentation on top of making phone calls, driving to homes etc. I am starting to over think and I have not started yet. The agency does a pay per visit and does reimburse for mileage. I guess I am scared... I hope I made the right decision. I am staying PRN with the facility I am leaving just in case things don't work out. HELP... Did I make the right decision?! I need to try it out right?!
