I asked and they wouldn't let me, unfortunately they only let rescreens for positive alcohol. Since weed is illegal, they said I can't retest. I feel I should be able to as well, but I don't know what else to do. Its weird too because the screen cut cut off was 20, my quantitative score was 14. They sent for the gcms test and its cut off was 10, so that's why I was considered "positive".

So, I was just accepted into my university's bsn nursing program. I was obviously asked to take a drug screen. I will be honest when I say I've never done anything in my life except smoke marijuana and the occasional alcohol drink. I actually quit smoking marijuana (I was a chronic smoker) but I quit four months ago. I guess because I smoked so much it came up positive. I have been clean and sober completely for again, almost four months. I never plan to go back to smoking either as I have quit smoking cigarettes and have been put on anxiety medication, which was the purpose of my marijuana use. I overall have been in the process of becoming a healthy person for myself and for my future nursing career. I made the biggest mistake of my life listening to the media and having the way of thinking, "I'd rather smoke a plant than be on a thousand medications." I was wrong, because marijuana is illegal and I was breaking the law. I will openly admit to my mistakes. I guess my question is, because my drug test came up as a low positive, I was referred to TnPap and I really just want to know what to expect from this program. I want to know how this will effect me in my nursing student journey as well as later on in my life, when I graduate and begin applying for jobs. The director of my program said that I have to undergo an evaluation first and then they will determine if I need to be monitored. If monitoring is required, Ill be drug tested randomly at my expense. I have no problem with drug testing as I am completely sober and plan to stay that way. I just hope there is some kind of hope for me. I hope this doesn't follow me and I hope I have a chance to be the nurse I want to be. Please no judgement, just constructive advice. Thanks.

I have a 55.8 you're so smart! I made a 123 on the NLN, an A in A&P 1, but Bs in A&P 2 and Micro. I took them at the same time when everyone said it would be a death sentence. I have a 3.58 GPA. My grades are completely As and Bs. This sucks so much. Youre definitely in! IM THE ONE THAT SHOULD BE WORRIED

Thank you Kcamp115 for replying!! How the hell have they not received all applications when the deadline is wayyyy over? Ughhh Im so scared! I just wish I could fast forward time. I called last week too, and asked about index score averages and they said the same thing about meeting next week. Do you mind telling me your index score? I dont know anyone whose applying, so I have no idea if mine is ridiculously low or not. This is the only program Im applying for so I HAVE to get in or Im going to be heartbroken. This waiting game is awful lol.

Has anyone heard anything about the 2014 Spring hopefuls? Im new to this site and have yet to find anything. Im waiting to hear whether or not Ive been accepted into the program. News about index score ranges? I hate this waiting game and Im terrified Im not going to get in in January. ANYONE plllllleeeeaassseee help with anything you know. Anything is greatly appreciated!!
