I was never fingerprinted. I was taken to my backyard and issued a ticket. And yes, I will never again go to court without a lawyer. Dumb move on my part.

In college I was charged with "misconduct at an emergency". Sounds way worse than what actually happened. I went to Ohio University and there was a fire down the street. I was on my porch and an undercover to me to go inside. I did go inside but then twenty minutes later I came back out to see what was going on and that same officer arrested me. My school wanted me to fight the charges but I would have to hire a lawyer and I did not want to tell my parents so I just plead "no contest" and paid the fine instead. Looking back it was such a dumb move. I am worried that no one will hire me with an expunged record. Does anyone have a similar situation where they actually got hired?

Hello! A little background about me...I graduated with a Bachelors of Science from Ohio University in Hearing, Speech and Language Sciences. Upon graduating my father had gotten seriously ill and I put off plans on grad school. That's when I fell in love with nursing and knew that is what I wanted to do! I checked into Kents Accelerated BSN program but had trouble with transferring credits so it would take me 3 years to graduate instead of 2. That is when I decided I would just get my associates and then do my bsn online while I was working. I heard that no one will hire someone with just their associates. Is this true? I really want to work in a hospital setting! If anyone could give advice please let me know! Thank you in advance!
