How to get trains as a med tech
Hi everyone, how are you all doing. I just finished my CNA class and passed the Red Cross exams. I'm interested in working as a med tech, but don't know how to go about. My intructor said i could go to living assistance and asked to be trains as a med tech. Today i went to a nursing home and the staff developer said they don't do that. I would have to take classes to be a med tech. Can anyone help me how can i become a med tech. Where can i go or what should i do to be trains as a med tech. I have a recommendation letter from my intructor to be trains as a med tech, but i don't know if it will help. I live in Garden Grove, CA and i'm very new to the healthcare field. Can anyone tell me which school or hopistal i could go to get trains. What is the job discription of a med tech beside passing out medication. I would like to learn more. Thank you in advance. Sincerely, HDN

Moving to California
hi everyone after being away from home for so long, I wan to go back to CA. I'm cureently living in Houston,TX and will be accepted in the LVN program; However, I not sure if that the path I want to go for now. Does anyone who lives or move from another state to CA and work as a LVN?. If so can you show me what can I do to beable to work in CA.? I'm also planning to continue my education (LVN-RN) once I move back to CA. Will they let me continue my education to RN, if I earn my LVN from another state?. I'm very stress about what to do with my future, half I want to stay here and get my RN (I toke most of the pre. for RN). I'm struggling with financial issue. On the other hand I want to go back to CA and continue my education there. The thing is it will take me longer if I go back and continue for RN. If I go back I could work as a LVN and make money to support myself through out RN program. I have been away from home for almost 2 years already. I miss my family and friends. Anyone know how much LVN get pay in Orange County, CA?. Any suggestion? thank you, HDN

I need help
Hello everyone, i'm new to this forum and i have a question regarding of transfering to university. I'm very confuse and don't what to do about my grade record. I"m now in Houston atteding 2 years community college for general ed. and requirement coures. Before i already attend 2 years college in CA but i was undecided about my major. While i was there, i did very horrible in college, i have 1 "F" and many "W". I was new to college and didn't have enought discipline, that's why i moved to another state to concentrate on my education. Now that i'm in Houston, i have done real well in college. I have a good standard in their system. I toke all the classes that they require to transfer. Now my question is: When i applied for university and they ask to send my official record from all college that i attend, is there anyway i could avoid sending the transcript from my old college. Like i mentioned earlier, i had a very bad grade record with that college, and i don't think the university would be please with it. Another thing is that, those classes that i toke from my old college, none of them applied to my nursing requirement. In a another words, those classes that i toke are useless. I wish i never had any grade record from that college. Is there anyway i could omit that transcript. If i did and later they find out what would i be facing?. Thanks, NDH
