  1. NY Corr. nurses, guidance needed

    As a Nurse at a NY Corr Fac the biggest reason you probably haven't heard is because NY is about to close several facilities thus resulting in lateral transfers for some Nurses. I don't expect to see any hiring until these moves are completed.

    New York I am an RN with 16 years experience top of the pay scale making $24.06 per hour with tons of overtime. Pay is comparable to hospital pay but better benefits and state retirement plan.

  3. Any travel nurses working corrections?

    I work for NYS Dept of Corrections and we have 4 travel nurses at our facility in Elmira NY and 1 travel nurse at the other correctional facility across town. They are all employed by Nursefinders.

    i've been a corrections nurse in 2 state prisons in ny since 2202. always be on your guard, know where the nearest door is and never be alone with an inmate.
