  1. Thank you SO much for saying that. I've been reading the posts here and it got me so nervous at first, but finally decided that I'd choose this position over the RN administrator at a latency age short term acute psych home. I'm still in school, hoping to get my MSN, and while all the complaints got to me, I still think clinically this was the best decision for me. I enjoy being challenged, busy, and FINALLY having a way to support me and the little one independently...priceless:) Thanks for the positive feedback!
  2. I AM an RN. Passed NCLEX in June, this would be my first RN position. I was a COTA/L for 8 years before going into school:) Sorry if I was confusing! Thanks for any info you may have for me!
  3. I am desperate for any help I can get. I have been looking for a RN position since June. Finally I got offered a job at a local dialysis clinic (3 long days) AND a job as an RN admin at a latency age psych acute stay residential. The second one involves a lot of teaching, training staff, etc (as opposed to just handing out meds, the house staff does this). The psych position is 5 days, Mon-Fri, 8-4. Surprisingly, both pay about the same, which I am EXTREMELY grateful about (approx 29/hr), but I am having a terrible time deciding. The dialysis gig would be more my pace, I would obtain FAR more clinical skills, and since I am currently in a BSN program, I'd feel less like I was losing what I learned in school. I am SO grateful to have 2 options, especially after a brutal job search, but I am slightly lost at what to do, especially reading some of the posts regarding dialysis and certain companies. ANY help or advice would be GREATLY appreciated:)
  4. I was pretty darn happy with 29/hour, with time and a half overtime, 3 loooooong days, but 4 days off with my little one. I'm excited for the challenge and psyched someone gave me the chance! It's tough for a new grad out there.
  5. Just got hired at my first RN job with 10 years experience as a COTA/L, no RN experience, dialysis clinic on North Shore in MA, 29/hr.
