I plan on trying to get the best grades I can, so I have accepted the fact that I will not have a social life for a year. So pharm and patho are combined? I am very concerned about that now. I thought one was taken the first half of summer and the other was taken the second half. I am glad to hear you like the program overall. I was accepted to Goldfarb's Upper Division program, but I felt SLU would be a better fit for me and I want to get done with school sooner rather than later. I believe you answered my questions I have for now, if I think of anymore I will let you know :) Thanks again!

Hi NatalieK11!! I posted on the thread for students currently in the program and they told me that thread have a really good idea of what to expect for the program!

There are scholarships. I was told they range from $1000 to &10,000 and a 3.4 gpa is competitive to receive one. Otherwise fafsa and private loans are what most people do.

Oh cool! I went to Maryville University. It's a small university in St. Louis. What about you?

Gotcha. Yeah I'm about 25min away so it's going to be a bit of a drive for me. I would check out areas around highway 44. It's easy to get to campus from 44.

Yeah I think their accelerated program is pretty popular. I actually live in the suburbs and am not too familiar with the better areas of the city. But I'm sure you can find info on safe neighborhoods online. Are you wanting to actually live downtown or in the county?

I applied to their upper division program and got offered a spot for summer 2014 but I've heard mixed things about the program and it was longer than SLU's. I'm ready to be done with school. Your wait was a long one!!! So you're going to orientation? If so, I can't wait to meet you! I'm wanting to get to know a few people before the program actually starts!

I applied to SLU and Goldfarb School of Nursing which is in St. Louis as well. I was accepted to both but decided on SLU because I have heard nothing but great things about SLU and I was really impressed when I took a tour of the school of nursing! SLU is actually the more expensive option for me lol. But congrats on your acceptance to Western University! I am so excited to start I cannot wait!!!

Congrats everyone! I am from the St. Louis area and I still need to take a religion class too so I will be taking it in January. I have only read the older posts on here as well but they all were very good. I have not read a single bad thing about the program. I also know someone who is in the program now and she really likes it.
