I had a pt last night that was complaining of discomfort and refused his tube feeding overnight. I held them for a couple of hours. On our unit at night the Drs are pretty hard to get a hold of and usually don't care about things like that but I'm curious if that's something that on a different shift or on a different floor if that's something that they need to be aware of. This pt just doesn't like his feeding overnight bc it causes discomfort to him when he's trying to sleep.

I'm taking an ACLS class and its the first one I've ever take so naturally I'm stressing myself out about everything. My first question is what do you usually wear to an ACLS course? Should I just wear scrubs? My second question is how well do I need to read over the material prior to class. I've already read the book and studied it but should I be able to recall all details of it or is just having a base knowledge of it good enough?

I already have my license in PA and I've applied for reciprocity in NJ. Everytime I check the status on my license it says pending. I've been waiting for 7 weeks. I was wondering if I could put it on my resume as pending and apply to jobs in NJ. I've been applying for months to PA and haven't received any leads. I'm getting frustrated and worried.

I'm graduating and about to take the NCLEX in a couple of months. I currently live in NJ but I want to work in either PA or NJ. Does anybody have advice on whether I should test in NJ or PA first and then go about obtaining a license in the other state? Which state is easier to do this in?

I'm a student about to graduate in 6 months. I was curious. I'm really interested in both L&D and the NICU. I realize that I'm not going to get a job in either of these right out of school but I was wondering if it's possible to work on both these units at the same time. Like doing one part time and one per diem or something like that. I've heard of nurses picking up hours in other units that were different from there and I was wondering if it's possible with L&D and the NICU.

I'm trying to find the differences between the Pyxis and the Acudose. I've been working on a project and I've tried to find these online but I can't get the information I need. If anyone would please be able to help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.
