  1. Education for new nurse

    I am a licensed vocational nurse in Texas and I have applied for a school nurse position. A school nurse position is my nursing "dream ". I have been nursing for 5 1/2 years and for the last year as a pediatric nurse in a community health clinic. I hope to get my RN license within the next 1-2 years. But for now, I WANT THIS JOB!!! I would like to know if anyone would have any info. on educational materials or personal info. on how and when to perform the basics of school nursing. Such as: lice check, hearing test, vision screenings, scoliosis screenings, etc.?
