  1. Thank you unfortunately there is not even one person i could borrow because there is no one buttt.....i can pawn my laptop i was keeping because i have no phone and i was looking for work resumes and etc thru email but thank you for your advice. My pernit is expiring in 3 weeks so i gotta act fast. I even called ccri and explained to them how i spent my savings on th school and how i failed the test because of counting the pulse wrong and they told me that if my license expires in 3 weeks i will have to take the class again??omg!! The ironic thing is that they told me there are programs that are funded for people to take the entire class they pay for all of it but i cant get funded for the test part. Thanks for replying back
  2. Hi if anyone has any advice please feel free i will try anything. In May this year 2013 I called around for the nearest cna classes in providence rhode island. It was important to start asap as my husband was injured and could no longer work so i called ccri but their classes were not starting until August and the Red Cross and they were starting in September. I got ahold of CES on Broad street on a friday and I was enrolled to start the following monday! We had $2080 left in savings so we paid the $1498 tuition fee in cash i have all the paperwork.I knew it was expensive but the class was 5 weeks and i needed to get to work and get an income in asap so as not to lose our apt. I completed the course June 23 2013 and graduated with an overall 92% and passed the class skills test. I awaited word via mail from ccri in lincoln to take the state board test and recieved word the were running behind.Once i completed the class i recieved a temporary permit to work as a cna but when i tried to look for work EVERYWHERE they all required me to have my permanent license. Finally i went to take the state test in lincoln on august 1 and passed the written part then when the skills came i passed apply one knee high elastic stocking, donning and removing ppe, provided catheter care, hand hygiene but the counting radial pulse i failed!!I passed all but that. I counted with the evaluator i got 85 and when i told her outloud what i got she said wait a minute and then she alone counted on the person for a second time without me.She then said ok write your number down and so i did.I didnt know that i could have counted again or what was going on.So because of that i failed. Now here we are in oct 1 2013 and my temp license expires oct 23 2013 and bacause of our financial situation i do not have the $69 to retake the test. If i could borrow it i would have already so heres my question.....what can i do to get to retake this test seeing as the $1498 i spent our savings on this class and its all going to be for nothing once my permit expires. Im sick over all of this any advice will be appreciated. In 1988 i worked as a cna in oakhill nursing home and in crookston minnesota i completed the cna program and worked at riverview nursing home for 3 years in the early 90s. I have been a stay at home mom for 2 children because we all know how expensive daycare is.Now that i can get back to work and its a matter of keeping or losing my apartment for my family i only know and love being a caregiver.
