  1. Awesome! I got the email also about the new scrubs they are requiring. It said that they had sent out the information, but I never got it. I found online that they were going to Galaxy blue Cherokee tops and black pants. I hope that is right, because I am getting ready to order mine!
  2. I just registered for our Spring classes! What about you?
  3. I got my letter yesterday...accepted!!!!! So exciting! And now so much to do...haha!
  4. That is so exciting!! Congrats! I didn't have anything in the mail today....fingers crossed for Monday and good news!!
  5. That doesn't sound like a bad commute, but I'm sure it would get tiring after a while. If I get in I will probably be looking for a room mate if I cant find anything affordable. I was considering the student housing, but I have a dog and they don't allow them. Do you have any insight into the local hospitals? I work in an ER right now, and would consider finding a weekend job or something. I am finishing up my CNA also, so hopefully that opens up a few options for me. Hopefully just a few more weeks before we find out!
  6. Yeah, I got a B+ in my Physiology. So close, but not quite! That's a good way to look at it...encouraging! I think we have a pretty good chance, as long as not everyone else has 4.0's lol. How far outside of Boise is Nampa? And would you keep working if you get in? I like to think I could, but I am told its a better idea to focus on just school once you are in a program.
  7. I fedex'd mine around the 5th of this month I think, but I didn't know we might hear back as soon as the middle of October! I am living in Western Washington right now, but if I get accepted I will of course be moving to Idaho. My GPA in the four classes is a 3.75 I believe. I was told by the advisor that is the average GPA of applicants accepted. What about you? And good luck!!
  8. Yes, I sent in my application a few weeks ago. Counting down the days until the deadline and then crossing my fingers! Do you live in Boise?
  9. I am working on applying to the BSU Bachelor of Nursing program for Feb 2015. Are there more details on the application process that you can share? I have not read on the website that an essay is required...has this changed? I know this post is a few years old, but I appreciate any information! Thanks!
  10. pnlu077, Thank you for your honest reply. I was accepted to the program for Jan. 2014, but am thinking seriously about backing out. I have already taken all of my pre-reqs up through Microbiology. I applied to a local community college which takes the top 40 TEAS test scores; I missed the top 40 by about 2% (three questions!) on the TEAS. :-( I was extremely upset, and really looking for another option to start around the same time. Now I am stuck: go through with this program or get my CNA and re-apply at the Community College. I hate to take the risk of not getting accepted AGAIN, but my eventual goal is a Masters in Nurse Midwifery...and not a single program I can find will accept a degree from a Nationally vs. regionally accredited program.
  11. Hello...and help! I was wondering if you applied for and started the RN program at Sumner? I am looking into applying for the January 2014 quarter, but I have been reading some bad reviews. Low graduation rates, degrees that aren't accepted outside of Oregon, and credits/degrees that are not recognized by 4 year colleges for procession to a bachelors. Any insight that you could provide? Thanks! Thanks!
  12. Hello! I am looking into applying to the Sumner College RN program with a start date of Jan. 2014, which will be the second cohort, from my understanding. I was wondering if you decided to enter the program? And if so, I am looking for some information on what it is like. How the college is, teacher, etc. I would be making a move from Northern Washington down to Portland, so it is a big deal! Any comments you have would be great! Thanks!
