There was an answer that said other and no answer was the other one. I put down no answer. I think they ask for accommodation reasons? At least I hope that's the reason why they ask you.

I have a sensitive question for everyone. I'm filling out the new hire info and it asks for religion. I'm an atheist admittedly and don't mind working for a religious based organization. It would be impossible to get away from it in healthcare. What has everyone else put down? I thought about putting down no answer or other. I thought it was illegal to ask about your religion?

Has anyone status displayed this? "Final Candidate Selection Activity in Progress"? Do you not your new hire paperwork until they decide on all the people they're going to hire?

Nursebri, did you go with med surg or ortho? :) And congrats to everyone that got a position! It's such an amazing feeling to have a job.

I received an offer from Florida Hospital Altamonte on the end of my interview. How long did it take everyone to receive the official paperwork? I was offered to start in October or December and opted for December so that might explain why I haven't gotten it yet but I'm getting a little worried.

I waited the whole day but nothing came through. Hopefully I'll it Monday or Tuesday. I don't want to tell my family until I have the official offer. Can anyone suggest a good area to live in near Altamonte?

How long did it take to get your acceptance email?

December 7th. I could have started October but it would put me in a tough spot to move so fast. I'm so excited!

I had my interview and it was awesome! The nursing manager offered me a position at the end of the interview. She said she would allow me to start in December too! It's kind of surreal but I feel so happy. I'm just waiting on the offer to come through my email.

Thank you for the suppor! I'm so incredibly nervous. I really want this unit and this hospital. A week ago I was ready to write it off and say I wouldn't get hired. I'm going to try to relax and watch a little TV, read up FH and practice answering questions. Wish me luck! I'll post here on how it went. I hope your ortho interview goes well!

So tomorrow is the big day for me. What did they ask you for med/surg? Anything out there or unexpected?

Wow, that is awesome! I feel way better about doing the second interview. Thank you so much for the help. Did they give you clinical case questions during the second part of your interview?

That's what I'm worried about doing. I emailed the HR person that contacted me to set up the interview to see if it was nights and I haven't heard back. The good/bad news is the interview is on Friday morning so that will give me time to obsess over it! Did you accept the ortho offer or did you tell them you needed time to think? I heard you had 24 hours to accept it and that was it.

What kind of questions did they ask you for med/surg? And did they offer it to you at the end of the interview or the next day?

I guess this might be a dumb question to ask but if they offer a position then can you accept but change if a different unit offers you a position? I would like to find out if neuro is nights but I don't want to chance losing surg tele if I have to accept right then and there. Did you get to do an ortho rotation in school? We spent half a morning on that floor and nothing happened so I never got to see anything.

I have a phone interview with neuro ICU next Wednesday and surgical tele on Friday via Skype. Neuro is with Orlando campus on Rollins and surgical tele is Altamonte. I would prefer surgical since it is for sure nights but I'll take what I can get. I'm wondering how the second part of the interview will go since I'm doing telephone and Skype. Maybe I'll have to go in for that part. Did your friend meet HR and the nurse mgr in the same interview? Have you had your interview?
