  1. Any tips on how to prepare for Health Assessment and basic skills? I'm so excited!
  2. Talking to her seems like great idea however she seems very nonchalant and sort of rude. I will most definitely try though. It's too late for me to drop and this is a small private college and she's the only microbiology professor.
  3. We're currently studying aerobic and anaerobic respiration and fermentation. I made a 66 on my first exam and I have second one this upcoming Thursday. I've studied my eyes out and I'm so nervous this upcoming exam.
  4. Hello everyone. I'm looking for study tips or websites that can help me pass microbiology. I'm beginning to feel really discouraged and have considered dropping out. I'm a straight A and B student and I'm just not grasping the concept of microbiology. I regret taking a&p II along with microbiology. I even went to see a tutor who just pulled up YouTube videos and didn't know much herself. Please help! Any suggestion is welcomed.
  5. Ugh! Tell me about it! I'm taking a&p II, micro, both labs, bce, and biomedical ethics
  6. Hey you guys! Does anyone have an old A&P II or microbiology book from baptist, of course, that you're wanting to sell?
  7. Thank you so much for that advice! I'm getting me a planner today! That's seems like it will be very helpful! By the way I am a mother and those cooking tips were awesome! :)
  8. Thank you for your quick response! I plan to do all of those helpful tips.
  9. Hello all, I'm taking a&p II and microbiology this upcoming semester (starting next week). And I'm kind of nervous about talking both of those classes together. Can someone recommend some good tips or study habits for passing both of these courses? I got a B in a&p 1 and that was kind of tough because I took it during the summer. Is this even a good idea taking both of these courses together? How tough are these courses? Are there any organizational skills that someone can recommend? Thanks for all of your help!
  10. Do you have orientation Saturday? If so, I'll see you there!
  11. I'm kind of skeptical about Pediatrics only because a sick child would break my heart!í ½í¸¢ I was leaning a lot towards ER/Trauma because I would love the fast pace atmosphere! And forensics sound pretty cool!
  12. Hello everyone, I'm not sure what I want to specialize in when I'm done with nursing school. So I would like to hear some of your decisions as well as why you're choosing to specialize in that particular field.
  13. I received mine too! I'm so excited and ready for this new journey. Mines is August 1. Is anyone else attending Saturday, August 1? And is there anyone who can recommend teachers to take for A&P II, Microbiology, & Patho?
  14. Does anyone know if baptist offer night classes?
  15. Hello everyone! I'm registered for orientation on Aug. 1. I was actually suppose to start Baptist last year but couldn't for personal reasons but I will be starting fall 2015:cat:
  16. Is that when you're actually in your nursing courses? I saw some baptist students in blue scrubs.
  17. Does anyone know when baptist students receive their first set of scrubs? Is it after all pre-reqs are completed and you're accepted into the actual nursing program?
  18. Thanks! I'm most definitely going to send them. I have no other choice. I just a didn't know if those courses would affect my college GPA.
  19. I'm going to make a long story short. I really didn't know what I wanted to be when I graduated high school and I didn't take school seriously then. I went to a local community college right after high school and had to take developmental courses that I didn't do well in because I didn't realize how important school was. I received some credits from another college in the area and my GPA is a 3.7. I applied to a nursing school here and got accepted but now they're wanting my transcript from the college I didn't do well at. My question to you all is will my developmental courses GPA affect my 3.7 GPA?
  20. How would rate the difficultly level of statistics on a scale from 1-10 with 1 being easy and 10 difficult?
  21. Yes. They're both required for my program. College Algebra was very difficult for me but with a lot of tutoring and I do mean A LOT I managed to get a B.
  22. Anyone attending the new student reception this week?
