  1. Just wanted to give all of you that are thinking about Simmons some advice, I am so happy and feel confident I made the right choice to attend this college. I am enrolled full time and am working 5 12 hr shifts per 2 weeks. There is a lot of studying, papers, quiz, but it is doable. The teachers are fantastic, they are all practicing NPs and are very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this school and there program. It will be worth every penny. Good luck to you all!!!!
  2. I'm def leaning towards Simmons! I'm so nervous about all of this esp bc I plan to attempt to go full-time.
  3. you can only borrow up to 20,500 per year in Stafford loans. the cost is more than that in the full time program. I spoke with the financial aid dept and they explained to me that you do have to borrow st last $6000 in either grad plus loans or private loans to cover the entire cost.
  4. Accepted!!!! just so all of you know if you are enrolled full time and need to borrow money the last two terms you will have to apply for grad plus loans because the cost is above what you can borrow in Stafford loans. now to make my final decision, Simmons or kaplan
  5. what are your plans to pay for this program since school loans won't cover it
  6. I have applied to Kaplan and just wondering if anyone is in the fnp program and would be willing to share their experience thanks.
  7. so how often do you have to meet weekly for the classroom setting? I was told it was only once a week, from the admissions rep. I am quite nervous about starting full time.
  8. i was going to apply to chamberlain also, there isn't much out there for reviews, I'm nervous about all of these decisions.
  9. Congrats Tasha, my app is in for jan, still waiting to hear back.
  10. how are you guys liking the program, I applied and am waiting to hear back
  11. how's the program going, want to start in jan
  12. Is anyone else just sick about the cost, I just don't know if i can go that far into debt
  13. wondering how the program is going for anyone that is in it, thanks, applied tonight and just want to make sure I pick the right school.
  14. Thank you for your comments. It is funny you both brought up Simmons, I spoke with admissions the other day and liked what they have to offer. Plus you can start right away. I am nervous about trying to complete this hard of a program so quickly. I imagine it is going to be very difficult. I am also nervous about the cost, over 50k is a lot of money. Thank you for responding, I really want make this choice wisely!
  15. I am looking for a good program, there are so many out there now and I am finding myself stressing over trying to decide which programs to apply to. Any suggestions on which to avoid and which are great. I really need a program that is mostly online.
