hello, I know that there are a lot of old posts on UOP LPN to BSN program, but I couldn't find that many that where up to date. I would like to start the topic by stating that I am a current LPN who is in a jam. I am trying to decide between going back to a community college to get my RN and then anther school to get my BSN or going to university of phoenix and going right from LPN to BSN. I have talked to the school but would like some real feedback from current or recently graduated student that have passed the NCLEX. Here are my questions. 1.) are graduates taken seriously and do they have the same opportunities as students who go to a traditional program? 2.) what is the current NCLEX pass rate? ( I was having a hard time finding anything online). 3.) do you feel like it is a quality education with instructors that care and are helpful? 4.) are the ATI tests the same as a HESI? how do they work with the program as far as pass rate and grading with the classes? 5.) what is the drop out rate of students? 6.) I know that nursing school is hard and you get out of it what you put into it but do you feel that the one class at a time is a more manageable work load then what a community college would have. 7.) do you think it is better to go this route or do go to a community college and then do an online BSN program? I think that is it for now. would love all the help I can get. thank you !

Hi I am currently an LPN looking at the RN to BSN program in Colorado at the lone tree location. I noticed that you said you graduated from this school as an RN with a BSN and have had no issues with finding a job or being taken seriously. do you think it is the same for the LPN to BSN? could you possibly help me with some info on this type of program through UOP if you have any insight I am having a hard time finding current discussion on the LPN to BSN side of things. thank you.

Hello, I am in a similar situation. I have been an LPN for about a year now and I am looking at doing the LPN to BSN at UOP at the lone tree campus. I would like some more info on the program myself but I can tell you what I know. So far I have found that the program costs about 35K depending on how many classes you have to take. if you have a previous associates degree you are looking at 2-2.5 years and if you don't you are looking at 4-4.5 years. It is online with one day of class on Monday nights from 6-10 and then you will have clinical rotations in some of the classes. it is one class at a time and they range from 5-9 weeks depending on what the class is. there are 5 ATI assessment throughout the program which are similar to a HESI exam is what I was told ( I would like to find out more about these myself). The school told me that their NCLEX pass rate was close to 100% march and may 2012 (I would like to know more about this). they offer classes starting every month so it doesn't sound like you have to wait. I was also told that you could work during the program but it can be difficult once clinical start. the program is CCNE accredited. hope this helps. like I said I would love some more feed back from someone who has successful completed the program and passed the NCLEX.
