New Jersey Vo-Tech Program vs. Community College Program
I was just wondering how many people out there have been in both the LPN Program at a vocational school and either failed out, dropped out, or graduated and went on to a community college to obtain their RN? I looked into both and found that the LPN Program is a bit too fast for my pace, but the RN Program seems as if it will take some time to get through it and you need to pass the TEAS Test just to be considered and I heard that the test is quite hard. I am very torn on what to do! I haven't gone to school in quite some time so I feel it may be a challenge. Any advice, suggestions, etc would be greatly appreciated!

I heard that the A Team is the way to go...I still don't know what I am doing. I have friends returning to both teams. I haven't heard anything from the school yet in regards to teams. Rumor has it that they may be combining because of the 2 teachers that are leaving. Best of luck to all!

I have a friend in A and the teaching is so different that I wanted to give it a try. I still stay in touch with a handful that are in B and they told me to go to A. I haven't sent anything back b/c I dont know what to do. I know a few people that are going back and are staying in B but I also know 1 or 2 that are giving A a try. What to do...what to do! ------------------ & --------------won't be there so who knows who the new teachers will be.

I too am going back. Haven't sent any forms in yet because I am still exploring other options but looks like this might be the only way to go. Going to the other team though.

No, I am in school already. It runs September through July. I am taking tests in class, two times a day, and I am barely passing them. I even failed one. I am having trouble retaining the information from the chapters that the test are on.

I am a new student in the LPN Program in NJ. It is something that I have always wanted to do so you can basically say I am following my dream. I have been out of school for 20+ years and am having a really tough time with consuming all of the information. Does anyone have any advice on what works for them? Especially with test taking. I'd really appreciate any information because I do not want to fail! Thank you!
