  1. Hi! I am currently in the accelerated program at Gateway. Right now, our schedule is that we have Theory from 8:30-4:30pm and depending on what group you are in, is when you will have clinicals for 10 hour shifts. My clinicals are currently tuesday from 6:45-5:00pm. We are the first group to have the new curriculum. We are currently doing our Med/Surg clinicals and will be doing our Psych theory and clinicals for the second half of our semester. I hope that helps a little with your question.
  2. I sure am!!! I am surprised that I haven't heard anything from any other students so far! You're the first!! :)
  3. Hi A_Olguin, My classes will be in the daytime. Are you in the evening RN program?
  4. Hello! I was just wondering if anyone else here will be starting the fall semester @ Gateway Community College in the Accelerated Program? Orientation is 8/25/15 I am hoping to meet some of my fellow Nursing students!!!
  5. I received my acceptance letter in April for the Fall 2015 Accelerated program @ Gateway (day) I don't know anything at all about Gateway because I did all of my pre-reqs and co-reqs at Estrella Mountain. I have not received my Orientation packet yet. (Doesn't look like anyone has) I am crazy nervous but excited about starting!!!
  6. He there! I am currently a F/T MA for a family practitioner here in AZ and I only have two more classes of pre-req's before I can apply for the nursing program and then start the wait game. I plan on taking a CNA course to hopefully transfer to a hospital that my clinic is associated with while I am waiting for my placement. My question is, has anyone ever already been employed by a hospital that also was a site for clinicals in their nursing program? If so, were you able to use your time on the unit as credit for your clinical rounds or did you have to have a separate clinical round outside of your duties for work? I'm nervous about finally getting to the end and actually starting the Nursing program and working full time (I'm a single momma) and I have to pay the bills too!!!!! Any help with be much appreciated!!!
