Hey Brittany! Don't stress about it! I applied before (to the generic portion) and got rejected. I didn't care to reapply till this semester because I couldn't get my TEAS score above an 78%. I decided to take classes such as organic chemistry, take time to learn a language, and work my butt off to save money. I ended up going to Africa and teaching to street children, orphans, & families that couldn't afford an education for their kids. I believe the rejection email was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. I'm not saying you will get rejected, but there are sooooo many things this world has to offer!

I really hope so! The waiting game sucks.

I'm really bummed. /: I was soooo stressed all week and to not find out sucks. It means all next week I'm going to be stressed.

I can't stop checking my email/UCF application status. I know it's not going to update anytime soon, but I can't help it haha. I'm just going crazy. I hate the waiting game.

Tharper1983- I've been to two info sessions at SSC. The first one I went to wasn't too helpful, but this past one I went to in July, Luisa broke everything down. It was super awesome! I wish I would have taken a picture of it or wrote it down. /: I meant with Luisa this past Friday and there were ALOT of people turning in applications last minute. We will see what happens !

Hey aleridi8 ! During the nursing info session Luisa went over what categories people are placed in depending on if they've finished their prereqs and stuff like that. In the application for Seminole State you just highlight which ones you have completed and the ones that are in process you do something other than highlighting that class. For the UCF application if you are still in process I believe it said to write N/A or something like that. I'm sure you will be fine depending on who's applying for this term! Your TEAS score is awesome and your prereq GPA is not that bad! You would be in category one for your GPA ! Good luck and I hope this helped a bit. ( :

I'm so excited/nervous as well! I keep checking my soar application just to see if they made any updates. I totally lack patience for stuff like this haha.

REALLY good GPAs all around for everyone ! That's awesome ! If you mentioned in your essay how you worked full-time or just mentioned a typical day I think they would understand and see that you are able to balance a lot at once ! (: @AgaSJ undergrad GPA is the same as overall GPA which should include your pre req classes too & then pre req is strictly the classes they mentioned on their website.

This is also the next step in my life & I'm sooo ready ! I'm feel good with my application. I always feel like I can do better. I started working on my essay around October and I worked on it whenever I felt the need to write. So I would be super bummed if I didn't get in because I put so much time into the essay. And my GPA is good but not amazinggg. I believe my overall is a 3.54 and my pre req is a 3.7. I'm currently taking classes in the Molecular & Microbiology program at UCF to raise my GPA. How is do you feel about your application ?!

Mine was changed to committee yesterday. I think they will eventually get to everyones by this or next week !

@AgaSJ I have a feeling we will hear decisions by the end of March because I don't believe they review applications over spring break! @nhamlin From previous threads I have read it's 40% essay, and then 30% pre req & overall GPA.

With the new application it took about 2 weeks :/ but I also called them pretty much everyday after the first week just so I wouldn't have to go through the same process again. And yes I'm so excited for the essay portion ! I started working on my essay around November so I'm ready to turn it in ! (: I've been doing a little research on here from previous application deadlines trying to determine what is usually the average GPA they accept. Does anyone know what is the lowest GPA they accept?

Hey professorkeith ! I really hope we all get into the nursing program as well !(: Your question about changing the term situation, I had to do the exact same thing, however, they were taking to long to update my term entrance so I decided to fill out a separate application which I then got accepted. I check my other application pretty much once a day to see if they made changes but they still have not. So if I were you I would either go in and make sure they figure it out or do what I did and pay ANOTHER 30 dollars and fill out the application again.

Sorry for the questions but I f i n a l l y got my undergraduate acceptance and when I logged into SOAR to fill out an application it came up with this .. "You must be an active student with an accepted USF application within 1 term to apply for the College of Nursing's BSNUR Program. Does this mean I can't apply to the nursing school or do I have to at least wait a week for the application to officaly process? Thank you in advanced !
