  1. I am sorry if this is dumb, I am still a little confused by this- I have most of my pre-reqs done from my bachelor's degree, but took anatomy 1 last semester and am enrolled for anatomy 2 in the fall. (Thought it might be too much of a time crunch over the summer, and boy was I right- my husband had surgery last week and is off work for three weeks. I can't get ANYTHING done with him home! Haha) But anyway, if I am not done with anatomy in December, and I am hoping to get into a program in the Spring, will it be possible, or no? The application dates say everything has to be in by September, but obviously if I won't be done with 102..... I guess I am just confused, and hopeful that I won't have to wait until Fall of 2016 to get in. Also I am not even sure how good my odds are- as I said, I am missing 102, but so far all my other pre-reqs (Aphy101, Psych, & English) are all B's. I re-took Psych last year and seriously had an 89% that she refused to round. Ughhh. :/
  2. Thank you for the info, Mary Jean! Do you know apprx. how many days a week you have to go to those sites?
  3. I am interested in applying to this and had some questions. I found a lot in this forum about RN-BSN, but not prelicensure, and not Indiana in particular. I am currently finishing up Anatomy 101 at Ivy Tech and know I will need A&P102 before applying as well. I am taking Lifespan development & Micro this summer, (maybe- is micro hard in a summer session? I haven't taken biology in uhhhh 10 or so years?) . I have psych/soc/ english from my previous bachelors degree. Does anyone know what you need to get on the TEAS to get in? What do you have to have in the classes to transfer? Just C's, or do they need to be higher for them to take them? Also, I assume there are clinicals- how do clinicals work with this degree? Do you have to commute to a central location, like Indy, or can you arrange something with a partner school? I live in the southern part of the state, but we do have IU Health here, which I see is a partner. Thank you all for ANY help!
  4. For the last two years, I have worked (after graduating with a liberal arts degree) as medical records for a dr's office. During that time, I have become more and more interested in becoming a nurse, and remorseful that I just did not do so to begin with. I was debating taking a CNA course and getting licensed as a CNA, and then working towards a nursing degree. In a lot of ways, a CNA sounds a lot better. I hate working 8-5 M-F, especially since my fiance works second shift. We never see one another. I love the idea of a 3 to 4 day work week and would have no problem with 12's. I hate driving the 30 minutes to my job now. There a few LTC's in town that start off just a little less than what I make now, but the one that offers the class (and therefore starts the best chance of hiring me right away) is quite a bit lower- I currently make $12, and they start off at $9.50. However, you get almost a dollar shift diff, and there is always opportunity for OT. And I would have more time to see my fiance, as well as have time for classes. I would also be saving $200 a month in gas. This is something that I want, but I'm so scared and unsure of what to do. I don't know if it would be a really big mistake and am just looking for advance. Thank you all!
