  1. Any CNOR or perioperative nurses from California out there?? I'm a former surgical assistant and newly licensed RN looking for a perioperative post-licensure course, preferably in NorCal but I can travel. Do you by chance know of one? All of the programs listed on AORN are afflilated with hospitals, and I am not currently employed. I would also like to go for my CNOR, but I'm guessing I would need a periop class and job before that?? Or since I'm a "New Grad" who cannot leave the area, should I forget the OR all together?? I originally went back to school to get my BSN so I could become a RNFA, but with the competitive job market I'm not sure of the best way to get there, or if it is even worth it/possible. Thanks for any advice you may offer! Cat
