  1. Thanks Hiimkendra! Once the fall comes my A&P class will also be three years old, so I was worried about not remembering info!
  2. Hiimkendra, did you do any brushing up over the summer on anatomy and physiology, or start getting ahead a little once you got your schedule by reading some textbooks? I've seen in other threads people advising others to brush up on material and it will help a lot with the course loads and if you've taken pre-reqs more than a year ago. Just wondering what your thoughts are!
  3. Got my acceptance letter today also! I will definitely be attending, can't wait to meet everyone!
  4. Cttruong, I got an email back when I applied saying that they have received my application. In that email there was a link to check the status of my application. But, I never got the email on the info to check my status so I emailed them and got my pin to check my status. Then back in January I received a email stating my application was officially in review! Hope that helps!
  5. Oh wow that nice! But thanks for the info! I'm out of state, but I did my first degree in CT.
  6. Congrats Bpiepes!! That's awesome! I got nothing today, keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow. If you don't mind me asking, are you from CT, and was it a big package?!
  7. I got the same message when I checked my status! So exciting but now the nerves are kicking in!!
  8. I have no idea how competitive QU is, I never got the chance to go to an information session, anyone know how many applicants they get per year? As for the price, I will be taking out loans (if I get accepted). QU has an excellent reputation that I really want to be part of. I know they say it doesn't matter what school you go to, but I feel it does. I have never heard a bad word about QU when I ask friends who know people that go there, and their nursing program is strong. The price is hard to swallow, but if it means a quality education, I think it's worth every penny
  9. Thanks for the info Sunshinee19, I appreciate your help! On the website it says applicants will be notified after March 1st, so we should be hearing sometime next week and the following week! I'm so anxious, QU is my first choice by far, so lets hope for good news!! :)
  10. Has anyone applied for financial aid? I know the deadline is March 1st, but we most likely will not have admission decisions by then, so i'm curious if anyone applied without knowing their admissions decision?
  11. on the bright side march is less than a month away! But yea, I agree its hard to plan out anything waiting to hear back from schools. Hopefully it will be March the latest.
  12. I applied back in August, so it feels so long ago! Has anyone spoke to admissions?
  13. Same here! I was hoping to hear by the end of January, but I did get an email stating that my application was in review!
  14. Thanks for the info Hiimkendra!
  15. Thank you for all the info Hiimkendra, I appreciate it! Did you have any say in where you do your clinicals?
  16. Hi hiimkendra! I just saw your response on one of the other threads I posted on regarding when decisions go out, thank you for your response! QU is my first choice so I'm pretty anxious regarding a decision with QU! regarding the program how is it?! I haven't been able to find much info on QU regarding professors and clinical experience- Everyone seems to say your professors and clinicals can really make or break a program so I would love to hear more info on this. Also, I was wondering if you could shed some light on being able to volunteer or possibly be paid as a student nurse while in the program. Everyone keeps saying that it is important to volunteer and get clinical experience during nursing school, is it even possible during this program?
  17. i also got my rejection, but do feel relieved that i finally have an answer. Congrats and best wishes to those accepted and to those who will continue their journey else where
  18. Thank you KLane :) and good luck to everyone as well, hoping for the best for everyone- and a speedy waiting process!
  19. I thought today was the last day too, but I still haven't heard anything regarding a decision. Trying to have patience!
  20. do you guys know if we can use our transcripts and recommendation letters submitted for the 1 year program for applying to the 2 year program? or do we need to re-sumbitt new transcripts and recommendation letters?
  21. Congrats Christine! I'm very envious, I also applied to Stony Brook, and waiting to here back! QU is my first choice, but Stony Brook is a close second, I have heard nothing but good things from Stony Brook and the cost is pretty unbeatable. I just want to find out from both schools like now! I hate waiting, especially with SB because i know I can find out any day, and QU I check the status of my application pretty much every day, I can't wait to find out!
  22. Just out of curiosity did anyone send thank you emails to anyone or thank you cards?
  23. I also emailed admissions about my pin and received it then!
  24. Concordia is my next choice to apply to, have you heard anything about the program?
  25. I know I want to know now! I saw in previous threads that applicants found out admissions decision prior to March, so I am really hoping to find out at least by February, March is so far away! So far I have applied to The College of New Rochelle and Stony Brook, but QU is my first choice though. I plan to apply to one more school, just haven't decided which one yet!
