  1. Hi everyone! (^_^) I am interested in the Competency Assessmeny Program of New Zealand for international nurses. I am a registered nurse in the Philippines but I am working now in Kuwait. After my registration, i worked for 3 months as a volunteer nurse and 5 months as a staff nurse in the Philippines. However, last year, i decided to go to Kuwait and worked here. Due to my lack of hospital experience, i am working here as a homecare assistant. I would like to know if my post registration experience is qualified for CAP. Based on the website of nursing council in New Zealand, it says that and i quote, Post-registration experience Applicants must have completed the required two years post-registration practice, within the immediate 5 years preceding application (no less than 2,500 hours). Im confused because back there in the Philippines, i worked already for more than 2500 hours, however, my experience as a nurse is still less than 2 years. Can someone explain it to me. It will be a Great help! Thanks. (^_^)
