    I'm thinking of leaving my full time RN job in a step-down unit to take on a 5 month seasonal telemetry job. I would like to work 5-6 months per year as a seasonal / traveler, the remainder of the year I'd like to be off. I have one year experience and with the upcoming winter, would have ~18 months. This would be my first "travel" gig. Nursing is a second career for me. I'm OK with the financial aspects and with the limitations that having only 18 months experience would impose. Here's my question: Do you seasoned travelers think that hiring managers would consider me stale product when after being off for 6 months, I look for work again? I'd like to do this for several years. Is being away from nursing for 6 months per year a concern? Thanks.
