Benefits at Memorial Regional in Florida
both times I got a peer interview. I think everyone does after they talk to the nurse manager. Go back and think about the questions and answers you gave. After I interviewed with manager and clinical specialist, both times they called at least 2 peers from the unit. The manager then gives them a checklist and comment grading scale they have to note while they are interviewing you. I know the first time I did not get the job because of the peer interview,,,,they asked even harder questions than the mangers themselves and couple also got a little attitude (young).

Benefits at Memorial Regional in Florida
I went on a Tuesday, and they called me two days later Thursday. I believe that if they want to hire you, they don't let you wait too long for an answer. I know that the protocol is that 10 days after the interview they have to let you know if they hire you (call) or not (e-mail). At least the considerate ones, don't make hold your breath.....some you will never hear from them. Orientation for new employees at Memorial is December 5th. Don't give up! apply for a different specialty or unit. I went to an open house at Memorial 2 months ago also for a different unit, and never heard from. I gave up after the "10 day" protocol. Hint...I am more than positive that the interview they make you have with your probable future co-workers is extremely influential...

Benefits at Memorial Regional in Florida
I just accepted an offer at Memorial in Florida, and I wanted to ask any of you that are currently working or have worked there about the benefits given. I am specially interested in the health insurance provided. Here in Florida Memorial is considered a great hospital by many, and they mentioned the good benefits. But yet, no one has really gone into any details. Can anyone provide me some info on their insurance coverage...price? how good is the coverage. I also was told they provide tuition/loan reimbursement...any truth? I would appreciate the info. :)

anyone knows hiring process in Memorial Regional south florida?
Okay... so I went to an open house yesterday at Memorial Regional in Hollywood, FL. I still haven't heard from them, and I'm getting a little anxious since this is the place I've always wanted to work at. First, I had an interview with both of the nurse directors form the department I applied for. After the interview, the assistant nurse manager gave me a tour of the floor and introduced me to pretty much everyone on the floor. After that, she told me I had to go through a peer interview .... I was pleased to learn that you actually get to have an interview with a probable future co-worker...I thought both interviews went pretty well. My question is how soon after an interview does Memorial let you know if you got the job or not. Is the peer interview a great influence in the hiring decision? Am I freaking out too soon? I applied for at least 12 positions needed in the dpt. most of them in Hollywood, and a couple for Pembroke and Miramar. I would really like to work in Hollywood. This morning I got an email form one position in Pembroke I applied for and was told that the position was given to an internal candidate.....Are all my hopes done? or was I only denied for that position in Pembroke? I thought after I spoke to the directors and gave me a tour of the place was a plus, but now I'm starting to think they do that with everyone.....anyone that works, or has worked there can give me a little insight? thank you so much...
