I think you're asking how to endorse your license instead of how to obtain an ssn... a good place start would be the bon website you want to endorse to. But personally i would call instead. Lots of people have obtained texas licensure without SSNs, not sure about california though.

That's alright. I'm sure someone equally as diligent is taking care of your documents. And if there are further delays you can ask your present employer to extend your stay. But i do hope there'd be no need for that. One thing is for sure, if anything else the whole NMC registration process is a test of patience.

I've been toying with the idea of going to a different agency too. But in actuality the application for and release of the CoS is beyond our agency's control. If it were all up to them they'd want to send us on our way asap because that's how they make their money; from every successful applicant. At this point I don't think switching employers wil help as it's looking like all trusts are experiencing delays in release of the certificates. Unless you can find an employer who has obtained an approved certificate in advance and are willing to assign one to you. I was told they are able to do that if the trust wanted to go that route. Some don't because of certain contingencies that further delay the nurse from leaving the country (scarring on CXR) and CoS' come with an expiration date.

Another month and a half. But there are those who got theirs a couple days after NMC received the documents they asked for. Let's pray you get lucky. Why don't you make a call and make sure that the email is correct. I once received an email from them asking for another resubmission so I called and was told that it was a mistake and to basically ignore the email. I find it highly unlikely that the school failed to include a TOR since the form asks for it. It won't hurt to ask.

It doesn't make sense in my opinion. The demand for nurses that the NHS is in immediate need of is greater than they can locally supply. So if the supply is insufficient in the first place the skills charge won't really discourage them from recruiting overseas. From the reading that I've been doing it's not that the hospitals aren't willing to train fresh graduates, it's that not enough people are taking the course. And even if they had people who wanted to take up nursing there aren't enough slots in all their schools and universities to produce the projected number of nurses needed to cover the NHS demand. So again, it defeats the purpose of the skills charge. While I can appreciate the need to control immigration and comprehend the worry that one must feel when their country is becoming dependent upon foreign nations for their workforce, I'm thinking there has got to be a more suitable option than imposing further taxes on an institution that has already been deemed underfunded in the first place when all they're trying to do is cope with the need as quickly and efficiently possible. But what do I know, I'm just a humble lone nurse waiting for a CoS. And yes, as if the path wasn't already hard and LONG enough.

Yeah, try 1k/year per person that they're recruiting from overseas. It's called a skills charge that they're rolling out this April. I've read that it's to encourage businesses to put in the necessary time to train local employees instead of recruiting overseas. It is definitely the employer's decision when to apply for the CoS. I'm just trying to see if the case is similar to all trusts because I was told that the case is the same with all the trusts that my agency is currently handling; That the CoS' have been applied for on the the 5th but have yet to be released and/or decided upon wethear they were approved or not.

Yes i am. My DL arrived Feb. 14. My agency says they applied for my CoS on March 5 but it has yet to be released. They don't know if it's been approved or denied.

So according to my agency there are delays in the release of CoS' which they are assuming is caused by the new skills charge imposed on businesses recruiting foreign workers. Because the NHS is asking to be exempt from this charge the CoS' have yet to be released. I honestly do not see the connection. I would like to ask though, have any of you guys who are waiting for a CoS experienced the same? Were you applied for a CoS just the 5th of this month, March, and is yet to be released? Has your agency shared why?

No. Still waiting on an update. I don't want to keep asking my agency and start to annoy them. I trust they'll me know whe in it's there. What about you?

Application is every 5th of the month and is released every 12th of the month. It's standard for everyone so we should be getting new this week regarding the CoS'. :)

What do german nurses have in replacement of a transcript? You must have a document to show the subjects you took to attain a degree. You don't get grades for the classes you take; can you explain it further? What do you receive then?

That has been a known ongoing issue with NMC's that they have aknowledged but have yet to fix. Just upload the new one. As long as the file name has changed from the previous to the current one you're trying to upload then it's fine. I went through the ordeal myself and called them regarding it. That's what i was told.

Most waited for around a month and a half, give or take days. For example, my time line: Queue- December 29 DL- Feb 14. If you do some back reading you'll find others who have shared their timelines as well.

Some employers even go as far as having the employee travel to the UK and wait for the DL there instead of wherever the employee is from. So long as you've passed the CBT it's only a matter of time till you get a DL given that you've complied with all necessary documentation required by NMC. As long as you can provide a CoS when applying for a visa.

Has anyone gone through the visa application phase? I'd like to ask, what documents do we need to submit aside from the CoS? I'd like to get them ready. Thanks in advance for the reply.
