  1. Did you ever find the answer to your questions? I am searching for the same answers. I am an OR RN in Houston with a BSN and looking to move to Florida.
  2. I got the letter from cy fair, I am in! Congrats to you all who made it. :-)
  3. Hi everyone! Been following this thread for a while. Thanks to all of you in the program for the information. it helps so much to have an idea of how it will be if I get in. I applied to Cy Fair only with an 11.6. Hope they send out letters soon. The wait is killer. Good luck to you all, and hopefully I'll meet some of you at orientation.
  4. I decided against Wharton, their application process is an unorganized mess. I can't imagine how the nursing program is. I'm going with a different school. Good luck in your journey!
  5. No, I don't work at a hospital in Katy. Good luck on your journey! I am going to apply to an ADN program because it works better for me & my family. I plan to get my BSN online immediately following graduation, while hopefully working!
  6. Methodist Katy will hire ADN's, but prefer BSN's. Recently they had a freeze on hiring because they took over Christus and they acquired many nurses from there. I think it has something to do with magnet status. Memorial Hermann Katy hires ADN's too. I am not saying it would be easy to get a job as an ADN in Katy, only that it is absolutely possible. Having a BSN gives you much better chances at landing a job.
  7. Hi everyone! I am applying to WCJC for Fall '14 and Spring '15. Anyone applied to WCJC in the past? I wonder if I get in for Fall at the Wharton campus, should I defer and try to get in to the Sugarland campus for Spring '15? The Sugarland campus is 30 minutes closer to my house than the Wharton campus is. It'll take me about an hour to get Wharton campus. I am concerned that the Sugarland campus might be more competitive.... Also if you are applying, I'd love to hear GPA's and testing scores? I heard that if you have more prereque's for your BSN, you get more points towards admission. I am taking my HESI at the end of the month and hope to have my application turned in the first week of March.
